So I realized there was a strange avatar resize going on. Don't worry, this wasn't a glitch. What happened is that we have a resize code in the layout (same one in both new and old), but since the new layout uses a different miniprofile style, the images had to be adjusted.
What you can do to fix this problem:
Go to Modify Profile and resize your avatar height to 100 and width to 65. That should fix it. The final image is supposed to look smaller than the avatars used to look, but it shouldn't be stretchy.
And ALSO, please remember avatars should only be 100 width x 150 height (or 65 width x 100 height. The site automatically tries to adjust avatars that are larger but this slows down loading time and may cause the forum to stretch if the image is abnormally large.
