Eth walked stealthily through the trees, he was doing a mock hunt. Despite the fact that he never really wanted to feed, he still felt that stalking would not be a bad skill to train. It seemed to be that hunters were the hunted, and the prey were the traps. Though this was all retrospective and philosophy he gave few people reasons to want to kill him, and those people were only the ones he wanted to thwart from doing unnecessary harm. Sure feed when you need to, kill a human to save them from what is worse then death, but don't torture them because you are tortured on the inside. Then again being twisted for so long can cause the brain to no longer see another living organism as worth the air it consumes.
Eth sighed and let go of the couples scent that he was tracking, he had already strategically forged a dozen different ways to get between them and kill them both silently a reality. Although the weapon itself was never used, made, but put to the side uselessly. He jumped into a near by tree and dangled a leg from boredom, he began muttering to himself generally things that he had thought of and couldn't quite piece together. Like why people looked at him so strangely, he was sure that people thought the same as him, just not a quickly, nor in the same manner. It frustrated him to no end that the information his mind linked together beautifully seemed to be invalid unless he spent twenty minutes explaining how he came to the conclusion. It seemed to be easier to him to feign insanity, though in the honest truth the fact that he tried sharing his thoughts was insanity itself. Since insanity was the action of reaping the same actions and expecting different results.
He shook his head trying to clear his mind of all thoughts, no easy feat, but he tried regardless making him feel even more insane. He eventually stood and jumped from tree branch to branch getting deeper into the woods. Places where humans normally did not venture for fear of being robbed, though honestly robbery or mugging was the very least of their worries. Though any human stupid enough to come to this place in the middle of the night deserved to die. He jumped from the last tree into a small clearing that held a pond off to one side. It had been a while since he went swimming, he removed his shirt and wadded in getting goose bumps, temperature no longer bothered him, but he simply loved the feeling of water on his skin. He floated onto his back and closed his eyes, if anything he shouldn't give off a scent in the water, but he really wasn't caring if he got found. He wasn't well known in the immortal community and had little reason to be hated by the average blood thirsty monster. Yet.

Eth wanted to frown, and almost slightly did "I wouldn't know." He nearly pouted, it bothered him very little that he was almost a sitting duck in the water. The very fact that the resistance would mean life or death entered and left his mind in the same breath "Its been years since I have felt temperature of any kind." He grumbled putting a hand on his cheek, as though he was thinking and observing at the same time. He was standing now oblivious to the ways of the world, for the most part, he was no corpse. Well not entirely a corpse, or maybe he was a full on corpse, any way you shook a stick at it his body still gave honest and pure reactions. Or maybe not so pure.... He shook his head again and splashed his face trying to rid himself once again of his meandering thoughts.
He smiled warmly "Sorry about that, my mind tends to wander." He said in an amused tone he stretched working out the resting kinks. He sighed and then blinked "Where are my manors, sorry once again. My name is Eathus, but you can call me Eth." He said genuinely, the entire time he was keeping a close watch on her eyes watching for the swings of insanity. Slowly he walked out of the water and slicked the water off his body so that he could replace his shirt, even doing so he kept careful attention on the girl. He could regenerate at ungodly speed, but he would rather not find that he couldn't revive his heart, or reattach his severed head, they were not on his to do list. By any means. It would be annoying to get on her bad side on the other hand, he could tell already. On the other hand if she wanted to attack him she had a very good opportunity and passed on it.
He looked at the bags and could tell from the scent that it wasn't store bought, and it also didn't match her scent either. The thought of being this close to someone who stole for fun or otherwise was slightly upsetting to Eth, not that he had anything worth stealing. Not that he had anything against stealing, it just gave him bad vibes this time around "So then Gurlie, how might I help you?" He asked straight forwardly, he even held out his hand letting his body be obviously off balance. He was going to make it difficult for there to be any claims that he started anything, or was trying to for that matter. Though that may have not been the best idea as he teetered and fell on his arse away from the girl, he ended up laughing as his self force failure. Not that it mattered which direction he fell in he was a good few feet from the girl. Word count: 485

Eth tilted his head slightly listening to her words, quickly he came to the conclusion that she was more unstable then he was. Unstable and obsessed "Well then Tara, if you wanted to know that badly, I enjoyed the water very much. It wasn't mucky and there were no fish." He said gently, not treating her like a child, yet using soothing tones. Not that he cared if she got pissed, he just didn't want to have someone annoying following him around. Then again it was annoying to have someone look down on him, so he stood and attempted to brush off his pants. Of course his pants and hands were wet so it left an unsatisfying feeling of dirty on his hands, so he slapped them against each other away from the girl, and looked into her eyes again thinking.
Why would a kleptomaniac call another race puppy? She wanted to take him home "You know Tara, that if I don't stay with other vampires I can't survive?" He inquired gently, his intelligence was focused. As it did every time his survival was of top importance, he was not going to fade into the darkness so that some vampire schmuck could take control of his body. He was exactly going to tell her that his blood was human either, that didn't exactly fly well with most other immortals. The less he told them, the easier his life was. Mostly he insisted that it was a freak accident, that his genes nearly rejected the change and then merged with it instead. Though things were never smoother when you try to explain the impossible.
Then he shook his head gently "I'm sorry, I forgot to mention, my mind is wired wrong. I don't think in ways that other people or immortals do. So if I sound a little funny please forgive me." He said with a small smile, he watched her eyes not missing any detail of emotional, or mental swings. It seemed she couldn't hide them, or she simply did not care to hide them. Either way she was giving him an advantage, a very slim one since it seemed to him that she held very little grips on sanity. Other then that he thought she might be an interesting bishop to play with, especially since he was a Knight. Their ways of thinking may not match, but the style of thinking could easily be categorized. His being jumpy, skipping over normal logic but still valid and helpful. Hers moving in diagonal views and never quite straightforward, he chuckled at the thought "Would you like to see a trick?"He asked warmly remembering how she looked down on his balance. Honestly she could mistake this trick for drunken wobbling, but he cared very little.
He took a good number steps back and started leaning from side to side starting with his head, he didn't need to do it slowly, but he wanted her to get the gist of what he was going to preform "I haven't really shown anyone yet, so I hope you like the trick." He said nonchalantly. Soon he was inches from the ground, on both sides, not at the same time but very quickly. He was still standing of course but with the momentum that he was preforming at it would seem that he disappeared. He slowed down and eventually stood straight, his face was clean as was the rest of him. Actually he was a good bit more dry too... Oh sweet mercy, she would think he was shaking himself dry. He held up the palms of his hands "Never even touched the ground." He said chuckling, he didn't move forward, but now he had a way to retreat.
He put his hands down and smiled again "Do you what that would allow a person to do?" He asked waiting for a moment he nearly rolled his eyes, with great effort he restrained them "Other then drying myself off of course." He said with a slight, and hollow chuckle. Word count: 669

Eth had been thinking, yet again, about what she said "I don't think I can be fixed..." He trailed, quickly he bit his thumb "What do you smell? It isn't decay. I am a vampire yet I still have the blood of humans." He paused for a bit letting the thought sink in, if she was as whacky as he then it would take a moment to sink in. He decided to go on a limb as it seemed that she wasn't going to hurt him, yet. He took a few steps forward keeping eye contact, when he was close enough to reach out and touch her with his finger tips he stopped. He smiled sadly "You see, my mind isn't the only thing 'Broken'." He smiled a bit more softly, but something was bothering him in the back of his mind, something in her eyes earlier.
Then excitement lit him up like a bulb "Why would you want me to explain when you can mimic me?" He said taking her hands into his own, it was an intelligent excitement and little more. He quickly let go however "I want to see you preform it, but after I show you the practical application." He said stepping back a foot "I'm not going any place, I'm just showing you what it was originally used for." He said, he started the motion again. This time however he did it with his true speed, if someone was not careful the instant dipping to the ground would make it seem as though he disappeared, to make matters worse the moment he swung to the new direction momentum slung him that way. Thus causing him to accelerate with each swing, with his natural speed as a vampire this was extremely deadly, but in the hands of Eth it was merely used as a tool for escaping. Or running through the night, it depended on time and place.
He stopped at a fair pace away, it was only three swings, but he was still over twenty-six feet away. When he stood he turned around "Why don't you come here then?" He asked smiling, he held up a finger "Only two sways though, I don't know how good you would be able to mimic me." He said with delight in his tone, she may think of him as her puppy, but she was his experimentation toy. Then he stopped himself "The reason why I would be reluctant to leave other vampires is because I need to be fed on by them, or I will no longer be who I am." He said slowly, she wasn't going to understand, but he barely understood it himself.
He was tempted to teach her other things tonight, but he guess that he was only useful as long as he was entertaining. Then again when wasn't a random, intelligent, slightly ocd person not entertaining? He could always play that he was afraid of germs, kids always loved to sneeze on him when he pretended about that. Then again he wasn't sure how far her childishness went, he didn't want to find out where the line was, it simply didn't seem like a good idea. Word count: 533

Eth wanted to frown, he wanted to show his fustration, he did sit cross legged and sigh "I'm sorry, I get excited when I meet someone who can learn complicated techniques that I thought of." He said sounding sad and putting the emphasis on thought, meaning it was his very own creation. He was sad in his own way. Mostly that she thought that it was his only means of escape, there was still his 'Double Jump' among a few others he could preform to make the distance unbearable. The fact that he was surrounded by trees and that he was a gymnastics fanatic didn't help her odds of catching him at all, but he wasn't going to let her know that. Hell he doubted that he was even going to show her another full technique ever again if this was how he was treated. Then again he was doubting that he would go with her in the first place, at least not permanently.
He was going to give bargaining a shot, not a full blown bargain more or less pulling some psychology out of his butt "Well you see the main problem is that if I am to remain as who I am, I need to be fed on by other vampires. I have no problem with that, as it is highly addictive." He said biting his lower lip in thought of what exactly it triggered in his mind and body. Though it still was not the same as feeding, it simply could not compare, in its own way it was amazing however. He sighed resting his head on his hand his elbow on his thigh and his other hand on the other thigh with the elbow in the air "Of course I see nothing wrong with my brain, it is others whom seem to have a problem." He said with a childish smile on his face. He stopped for a moment and concern twisted on his face "I'll still go, I have no problem with that. I just I use the words I use for convenience and the fact that people will understand what I'm saying a bit easier. Though obviously I'm no expert at it." He said sighing again. It was very true that he was easier to misunderstand then one of those metal puzzles that you had to separate.
He looked back up into her eyes a thought dawning on him "So who do I look forward to meeting back at home?" He asked thoughtfully, he purposefully said home to make it concrete in her mind that he was going back to stay. He had a few ideas on how to get her to preform his trick, a race, or prying on whom ever she was dependent upon. Word count: 465

Eth sighed inwardly, his plan back fired, he considered getting used to it, and then turned it into a game. Slightly any how, there was no motive, except to learn this girl by nudging her in different directions at random frequencies, simply to see where he could get her to land. For now he was going to have to play it cool until he figured out who the head was, for surely she was just a body with a shell of a lucidity*. He froze slightly when she knelt in front of him, just long enough for a thousand and one thoughts to fly through his mind, a very small portion of them pleasant. The rest generally ending with his head a good distance from his body, or bent at an impossible odd angle.
He wrapped his arms around her and pretended to be comforted, not so much pretended as enjoyed the closeness. He didn't get close to people often, it felt.... awkward, the closest he got to someone was generally feeding. That of course was all business and no play, sometimes there were exceptions, but he didn't want people thinking that he was receiving some kind of pay. So generally he declined, then again he was so impersonal, mentally speaking, that it was difficult for him to believe that anyone would be kind to him out of the goodness of their heart. Under normal circumstances any how, this girl was genuinely being nice, regardless she wanted something from him, but she was being nice from her own heart. Not because she wanted something from him now, he decided that no matter what happened he would be her friend, and hopefully mental support one day.
He let go of her and smiled brightly, he thoroughly enjoyed the nice side of her "One day I will return your favor." He said picking her up, he grabbed his jacket and pulled out a skull cap, quickly he dusted off her knees. He knew already how much she disliked the dirt, their minds and bodies were far different, but they were not that different in some small ways "Shall we head back?" He asked holding out his hand for the bag. He wouldn't let this lady carry something for so long, not that he thought she would get tired. It was out of curtsy "I promise, I'll be by your side for a long time." He said gently, his eyes were firm and warm. His humanity was still intact, and if she thought she could fix him... well he could live with that. He just hoped that her depended didn't want to rip him to shreds on first sight, he could always run, it wouldn't be too terribly hard. Word count: 460

Eth smiled at her from the bottom of his heart, he wasn't attracted to her deeply, sure she was beautiful, but what made him happy with her was her mind, the sheer purity of it. Dangerous, battered, and bruised maybe, but she was a slightly open book to him. She was also very honest to herself and every one around her, these were qualities that appealed to Eth. Now only if he could find a toned down scale with less murderous thoughts. He could already tell the brownie points lay in pretending she was a princess, for a moment he wanted to be able to look into her mind, but he decided that even if he were able to it would be a very unwise idea. He held back a very sad look, he knew that at first she wasn't ever like this, her situation snowballed into what it was today. He was sure that being granted superhuman abilities made it only worse, he was also sure that any thing more then very delicate suggestions would only result in making her extremely angry.
At first when he grabbed the bag he was tempted to swing it around for fun, but the look on her face made him think twice. He decided to look at her as though she was very emotionally sensitive. Like she would cry or something, not that she would explode like he knew she would, that only made Eth want to do things more. At least once or twice more depending on how upset the person got, it was his way of saying that he really didn't give a flipping Filipino if someone got pissed and acted out. Unless someone was going to do something about his actions he considered that it wasn't important enough to care about. This time he knew that too many wrong steps would have his head loosely connected to his body, Eth's speed was nothing to be scoffed at. He had trained very hard to be as fast as he was, he even had a special regimen when he was alive that most people could not keep up with. It was probably the only thing that would have made him stand out, if it weren't for the fact he was too shy to preform in front of others. If the teachers ever saw him they thought he was a different person, it was something that made him depressed often. He died because of loneliness, because he had no friends, no one to be there for him, no one who cared to make sure he was alive and well, no one to-- Eth stopped himself.
He could feel his face twisted in horror and despair, he had been alone for a long time and he knew that it was twisting his mind and his heart. When he noticed their surroundings they were already walking, he didn't know how long they had been walking but he had the things clutched to himself closely, not hard enough to break them but enough to make himself feel safe from the despair. The fathomless faded darkness of his mind, that had only started repairing itself recently. He was mentally stable for the most part, he had good judgement, a little loopy, a strong will, and an overly active mind, but over all he was stable. He just didn't care if he acted stable, sometimes he even wish that he wasn't so stable, just so that he could act out at those around him and have an excuse, he wondered how the rest of his three-hundred-something-odd-years would be for him? Would he end up alone time after time? He sighed at the thought and hopped that Tara didn't notice his face, he didn't want her seeing himself like that, she should only see the smiles.
