Jesus was not really into sports so that really only left one place for him and Ripley's little "get together" for a couple drinks. The tavern was always full with its normal patrons which Jesus was getting used to seeing there faces. Though he was no where near as regular as they were, many gave him a simple nod of acknowledgement or a smile. Out of all of them the bartender probably knew him best because he was usually so quiet. When he came in he always had the exact same order and the bartender started to get the drinks ready. The first thing he received was always a tequila shot the he would immediately down and hand back to the bartender, flinching slightly. Next the man knew to simply keep the Corona coming but hold the lime.
Not remembering when he had told him to meet, Jesus got there far earlier then he knew he had to just to be careful. Looking at his shirt, Jesus extended the sleeve to make sure it covered the bandage on his right shoulder. Not two days ago, he had bagged himself a young werewolf but not without a price. Though it was very inexperienced, it was fast as anything which made it a challenging kill. Finally having to wait until the beast was right on top of him, Jesus put a silver mechanical broadhead tip bolt deep into his skull. This meant the the animal got his claws on him, digging through the leather and into his shoulder before dropping dead on top of him.
After that, Jesus had simply open the closest storm drain and dropped it down. He was sure that his kin would find it since they seemed to scamper around down there. It was the next day so the wound was still fresh and very sore. Jesus knew that Ripley would notice that he wasn't wearing his normal tank top so he hoped he would realize what that mean. They had been friends and colleagues since Jesus had given him a few pointers and they had hunter together but it had been a while. Though he was yet to meet his family, he was pretty sure he understood why. Plus Jesus had no idea how to talk to kids anyways. Looking over his shoulder while taking a swig of his Corona, he wondered how long he was gonna have to wait.

Ripley had been sitting out in the parking lot he'd recently come from abandoning his sons for the first time in his life.. And he'd remembered his old friend Jesus had always been telling Ripley he would be there for him had he ever needed somebody to go-to and right now having lost his wife Ripley needed him a damn sight more than he care to admit.
Ripley shook his head as he entered the tavern, this was the first time he'd come back through town as he'd usually be on the road helping those who had a problem that he was trained with, Ripley hadn't even considered visiting his sons, he was ashamed of himself that he wanted to avoid them for their own protection and yet here he was meeting an old colleague from the golden days of hunting.
Ripley spotted his friend waltzing between the bar and a table he waited for him to return to the bar before he assumed the seat that was intended for him.. He liked to be secretive and always have the moment of surprise against his friends and enemies alike he wasn't the type to walk straight up to you he'd wait and watch you.
"It's been awhile Hound."Ripley spoke his cold voice reaching out to his former partner as he'd returned with one of his many beers clearly shocked about Ripley's entrance but then he calmly sat down and shook his hand before the pleasantries began to overwhelm the aged hunters.

Though he had not been keeping track of time, Jesus knew that it hadn't been long since he had gotten the table that Ripley had slunk in like normal. When Jesus was off the clock tended to not pay a whole lot of attention as to what the hell was going on around him. He listened for danger and any hints at anything supernatural but mostly he minded his own business. Maybe if he had actually payed attention more, he wouldn't get startled every time Ripley seemed to materialize out of no where. "Can't mess with an old man like that Perrito, or you could get a silver bullet lodged somewhere you don't want it," he joked, releasing hold of his weapon.
"I got us a table over here," he motioned, "so what is the problem little one?" Jesus returned slightly uncomfortably cutting right to the chase. Ripley was by no means that little anymore but he was far younger then Jesus. Though he was not sure why out of the blue he wanted to meet, he assumed it was for either something important or something depressing. A hunter's life was not an easy thing and was often filled with heartbreak. Jesus had been lucky so far but the fact that really Ripley was all he had left as anything other then a hunting companion made him show up.
Now all business, Jesus waited for his reply as he waved a waiter over. "You hungry?" he asked ordering a burger for himself. Waiting for Ripley's decision and the waiter to leave, Jesus lowered his tone and added in, "I got briefing in the compound tomorrow morning Perrito and this old dog needs his sleep. Is everything good?"

Ripley never faulted a smile as every time he scared the person he snuck up on and Jesus always had a preference of calling him a pup.. He didn't like that but a friend like Jesus was hard to come by.. He knew Jesus had overseen his kids when he left the first time and he was thankful to have a person like this in his life, and he never did thank him but deep down he knew that Jesus knew he felt a gratitude that could never be repaid with words so he kept them away locked far away.
"Sorry about sneaking up on you again old man, you might want to get some glasses if your eye-sight is lacking.. I mean i could have killed you three times before i even sat down and we both know my bullets are of a thicker calibre.. Gramps " Ripley laughed gently dropping the hunter talk as the waitress came by.
"I'll have an Irish coffee, and a cheeseburger with some fries if you don't mind.. and this old guy will have his food mashed so he can suck it up. " Ripley handed her a couple of dollar bills as he adjusted himself in the seat. She'd walked away and the two continued to converse about hunting and what they had been up to since they last encountered one another.
"I notice you're not wearing a tank top today which suggests you had another encounter with a creature bigger than a bear, and this leads me to suggest it looks like you might start to need a partner once again.. I still have my revolver and I'm not dead yet.. anything to avoid bumping into my boys.. they can't know I'm back... Not yet..There's something in the pipeline I've got to do before confronting my boy..
It's been three years since we fought.. i don't think we'd get on to well judging by my family records... And Vaughn I've spoken with him a few times.. but he need not known I'm here." Ripley knew he could trust Jesus to keep his whereabouts safe at-all times this man was like a father to him sometimes and he never regretted looking up to the old man sometimes... even if he was passing the prime mark.

"My eye sight is is just fine cabron," he replied with smirk, "and if you don't learn some respect for your elders, I will have to reeducate you." Jesus expected no less from Ripley, always a bit cocky but never a bad guy. "Plus you should know better then anyone that when I am not working I am on a break."
Punching Ripley in the shoulder for the other old man comment, he immediately regretted it as he blinked at the pain from extending his shoulder. As his companion began it became obvious that he knew that he was beat up but what he said actually made him stop his drinking mid swig. It was not like Ripley to suggest a partnership so suddenly unless something was happening.
"Well Perrito, you know I am always up for a hunt but what is goin on? This is not like you at all, come here out of the blue and asking for help." Jesus assumed that he wanted help because otherwise he won't have called him down here. "You know that I am perfectly happy to keep Vaughn in the dark but if we are gonna be partners, they share stuff with each other. Hell, I might even say no if you don't tell me what is happening?"
Waiting for a reply, Jesus leaned back and crossed his arms, staring down his companion. He knew that if Ripley really needed help he would not be able to say no. The guy was the only family he had though he often did try to hold them at arms length. That meant they were less likely to get hurt. In Ripley's case though Jesus was confident he could handle himself, no need to worry about him.
