Devoid of any clouds in the night sky, the full moon hovered above. There was something about the moon that allured many people. To think that mankind had landed on the moon not several decades ago. How far they had come. Despite the wars, numerous conflicts, deaths, and other such barbaric activities, mankind still went on. One would think that after exiting the atmosphere of their tiny planet, that they would come together and learn to work with one another, intent on exploring the vast emptiness above. Humans fought over the pettiest of matters, such as who would have the last morsel of food, even though they were content and full from their meal. They were greedy, they were viscous. They had technology that at the push of a button, could send nuclear bombs to destroy the world several times over. Peace? Impossible. To imagine otherwise, was a fool's hope.
It did not matter if Zeke had failed to save that child. She most likely would have grown up to be another monster. She would have fallen to the same acts of greed, violence, and so on. The only difference between her, a lycan, or a vampire was that she would have held no supernatural power. It is ironic that while supernatural creatures of the dark were considered evil, yet the race that was completely normal in terms of biology, were perhaps the most wicked of them all. He had long ago given up that want, that hope to save others and uphold the meaning of justice. What use was justice if people disregarded it? If a human saw something different, their first impulse would be violence against it. It didn't matter if it was a difference of culture, or a difference of human versus the supernatural beings.
It was with these thoughts, that Zeke ran through the night on all fours. He enjoyed the full moon's offering. He was able to transform into his lycan self and roam the country-side if he wished. This moon cycle, he did. Previous instances had him in the city, fighting vampires and such. Tonight however, he simply wished to run throughout the country-side, perhaps get a good meal if he could find it. For the moment, he was content. Trees rushed by him in a blur as he ran. As he reached the edge of the forest into a field, an unfamiliar scent entered his lupine nostrils. He paused, ears perked up, eyes darting about in search of whoever was there. He did not know who, but by the scent he could definitely confirm that they were a lycan. Whatever their intentions were however, was unknown. As the moon shone above, Zeke tensed, steadying himself by digging his hind legs into the ground, ready to spring forward at the slightest provocation.

This whole concept was foreign to Andriana. One minute, she was normal, living in her small world in the old south, and then? Everything was gone so fast. The world was not what it seemed, and nothing made sense. Her world may have seemed small and dumb to some people, frivolous and her idea of life naive She had always just wanted to make ends meet, live her life to the fullest, and now? She was some kinda terrible. She couldn't make sense of anything anymore, and she was just a monster. She didn't know of others like herself, but it would be something to find someone like her, and tonight seemed like it might have just been her night.
The full moon pulled her from the calms of her flat, and she was far away from where she knew. She was learning the city but tonight she was not in the city, not anywhere close to the city. She tore through trees, fields and down deserted streets before she saw nothing she knew. Her mind was more in place then it had been, she guessed maybe the monster was there as well, but she could think. She could think some. Not enough to be comfortable and okay with this, but there was less pain, not as much anger, and just a bit of control to this for once. It was strange, and she didn't like it...but she didn't hate it. Not this time.
She stopped her run for a moment when something near caught her interest. She didn't know the smell, but it was familiar, like she'd known it before; but not exactly. Something similar maybe, like she just couldn't put her finger on it, but it was on the tip of her tongue. She cautiously ventured towards it, she didn't know if this was a good or bad idea, but she did it anyhow. She needed to know, and it was closer then she originally thought. She approached slowly, and the smell got stronger a bit of a ways off. She stepped into a lighter area, and there was another...another like her.
Her pace halted, her head alert. She had her ears forward, and her posture rigid, but in a shocked sort of way, not an aggressive one. She didn't mean harm, but she was sure confused to see someone else out here, and someone she didn't peg to be a sort of dog, she didn't get that vibe, she'd smelt dogs in the city, it wasn't like this. She took a slow step forward, hoping it wouldn't be a horrible idea after the fact.

Of all things considered to happen on this night, running into another lycan was not one that Zeke had planned for. More often than naught, when he met others, it resulted in violence. It was for this reason that he did not let up his posture in the slightest. Though the lycan appeared non-hostile, perhaps even curious at the sight of him, he would not let up. To do so would be a sign of weakness, something that he would not abide by. Too many fools would let their guard down the second they thought they were safe and sound, only to then be killed. In a sense, it was natural selection at its finest. Those who could not be wary, who lacked the ability to be a predator and were instead easy prey, did not deserve to live. What use in life was there for weak individuals who let others walk over them? The glare that time had permanently etched on his face, be it human or lycan, intensified as he stared at the other before him. Perhaps it wished to convey a gesture of friendliness, or a greeting. Maybe it wished to go hunting. In his state of mind, Zeke ruled out either possibility. As he had gone on in life, any positive thoughts or hopes he had for others had been washed away . All that he thought of when considering others was if they were a threat, and if so, the most efficient way to dispose of them. It was these thoughts that reverberated throughout his mind as he let out a snarl toward the other lycan, warning them not to make any sudden moves.

Tension. That was the only thing she could think of. She didn't understand seeing this other creature, like herself. It didn't make sense to her. There were others like her? Was this true? Was she dreaming? But this couldn't have been the case, she never slept on these nights, and this really had to be happening. She swallowed, keeping her head low. It seemed she acted much like her human self as she did in this shape. She held a nervous stance, unsure of how to make a move with the other. She finally lifted her head, to look at the other, but she did her best not to look the other in the eyes, she didn't like eye contact; some people took it the wrong way.
She wanted to run, but she couldn't make her legs work. She looked up slowly, again, and she looked like she would move, or wanted to communicate, but she was scared. There were so many things about being stuck like this she didn't understand. She just hated this, she wanted to be normal again. Was that too much to ask? She didn't ask to be a freak, and now as it turned out there were others...like her, freak was a hard word she didn't desire to use for anyone else, but she couldn't think of much of another way to put it.
The more she thought the angrier with herself she got. If she were in her right mind, this would have been about the time she started to pace and pull her hair out. But she didn't know if she could even make her legs work she was so scared. Though she wanted to. She instead lowered her eyes, not wanting any sort of challenge, and stepped back. She wasn't in charge of this situation, and she didn't want a fight.
