Eth had been walking for quite some time, on occasion he would run, but he enjoyed the relaxed pace he was taking at the moment. Shifting the duffel bag on his back he sighed, he didn't have any specific directions but he had a general one. He figured that hiding among the masses would be unbelievably easy, but at the same time from personal experience living near people who's views on life and things in general tended to be annoying, by a vast margin. With this multiplied by many years of change, brought the conclusion to Eth that there would be a secluded society that would be easier to ferret out then the mixed society. He had been locked onto a specific scent for a long time, it smelled like home, though he had never been there. It was as though he was being led, and he did not doubt it at all, he just wished that he didn't smell like a complete human, though in his opinion he tasted better then a regular human.
A passing car made him jump off the road he almost didn't notice, how far had he walked? And how deeply was he in thought to not notice that roaring until the last moment? His defecting body would fight with itself as though the change was not complete yet. The human and the vampire fighting with each other, his body and his mind warring for possession. The though made him shiver, which was odd to him now as he was never cold, his body was warm, like a vampire after feeding, but temperature didn't seem to bother him one way or another. He stood straight and dusted himself off trudging his way back to the road, after a few more miles he stopped, the scent blood was filling his nostrils. Tempted as he was to follow the trail, he knew better, not only was the community not in the direction, but this blood was not going to be his answer. He would rather take poison instead.
The sun was coming soon and he could feel the need of rest falling on him slowly he sighed and walked quickly to the nearest place he could find, what he assumed to be and abandoned shack came up first. He walked inside and shined his flashlight to the roof looking for holes, to be sure he propped it up so that he could step out and check the roof for shining light. There were none, and the room he chose had no windows and was better to stay in then nothing at all. The day went by quicker then he expected, and night fall was coming. Just as he was getting ready to leave he heard the front door open, muffled crying, and laughter. In Eth's opinion these were never good combined, his interest was piqued and he waited peeking out the crack in the door. Already he was enraged at the site unfolding in front of him.
The burly male had stepped into the middle of the room with the girl he had captured, bound, gagged, and blindfolded "Now gurlie, hows about me and you have a bit of fun?" He asked throwing her to a near by couch, she wriggled and tried to scream, all in vein.
If it hadn't been for Eth that was, he kicked the door almost off of its hinges and tackled the man harshly. After that he picked him up and slung him outside, he rushed to the girl and cut her free, leaving the blind fold on her "If you take this blind fold off I'll be forced to kill you as well. You must not see what is about to happen." He said putting pressure on her jugular to make her pass out. Before the burly one could recoup Eth was already outside and in hunting mode, he felt no remorse over what he was about to do. Scum was scum and no matter the race scum was not to be tolerated by Eth. He picked the man up by the throat in a diagonal direction using his momentum and slammed him into the ground before feeding, when he was done he ripped the mans throat out and mocked animal bite marks all over his body making the man seemed to be attack by a wild animal. Or at least that was his goal, he dashed off not wanting to confront the woman any further, but the screaming still rung in his ears even when he was far away. He began to walk again, quickly at first, but soon his leisurely gait returned.
After a few more miles the smell he had been following grew in intensity, doubling with each mile. Soon he began running with excitement, he tripped once and fell hard breaking his arm "Ow, sonova.... three legged race horse..." He managed to hiss, as quickly as the dots swarming his eyes would allow he reset the bone not even wanting to look at it poking out, of course there was plenty of blood coating his arm, but that didn't register after the hour or so of pain and sitting beside the road trying not to pass out. When he recovered he stood, wobbly he walked down the road feeling like a drunken penguin. He wasn't thinking as he walked down the path that would bring him to his goal, when he reached the place he didn't know what to think at first. Though he felt happy, but also reluctant, the scary part was that he didn't know which part of him was reluctant, the side still claiming humanity, or the side that was demanding him to change.
