The sky was grey and dark like usual, Dean stood in the home he'd shared with Vaughn and his other son as they grew up, it was a happy home for the most part but it'd lacked one thing, his wife Imogen Logan she was the light of his life and he'd never truly found love after she'd been taken from him.. Dean sighed as he stepped down the creaking stairs.. Everything about this house had brought back memories of his beloved and sometimes it'd bore to much strain on him, but most of the time it'd just feel empty..
Dean closed the front door and locked it up as he dashed for his car.. Dean drove down the street and headed for the diner. It'd been the place he'd taken Imogen on a few dates and where he'd proposed to her.. Dean pulled up in one of the available parking spaces and headed inside, it wasn't exactly full but there was a few faces Dean actually recognized. Walking across the diner he'd found a empty booth and sat himself down as a waitress made her way over and handed him a menu, he'd perused the list of food as he came to make his mind up.
"I'll have a plate of fries and can i get a chocolate milkshake with two straws please..." Dean spoke and smiled at the waitress as she hobbled off and he sat there calmy waiting.. Looking across the booth he'd thought back to one of those fond memories where he'd be with Imogen and they would just sit here and plan for the future... It's also where Dean told her he'd enlisted in the army.
Dean let himself linger in the memories as the waitress returned with his drink and eventually a plate of fries. "Thank you sweetheart..." Dean smiled and grabbed his fork tucking into his lunch.. If anything he wished he could return to the golden days with Imogen but now he was just an old man sitting in a diner, eating by himself..

Elora had to play the part of the decently normal citizen. She had been given a fake identity and with that came the fake life and its fake requirements. This sort of mundane life was not something the girl was built for. Did people really wait tables all their lives? She dismissed the thought as she carried on her day. Maggie had taken her table but now that she realized it was just one man she was not too mad about it. People alone tended to be lousy tippers. They had no one to show off to or at least that was Elora's reasoning.
"will anyone else be joining you?" she asked abruptly. How she had gotten to the table to disturb this man from his meal she was not sure. One minute she was thinking about tips and the next...oh boy, "the straws," she said, face burning due to the sudden embarrassment she was feeling, "you ordered two of them. Should I bring another menu?"
She really needed to work on her self control. Still, she had to trust her instincts, right? This was important. Why? She had no clue but it was best to just go with her gut and see where the conversation took her.

The black 1948 Harley Davidson Panhead glided down the busy highway, rumbling like an earthquake as it flew through the middle of traffic, passing everyone by. Vaughn, filled with pride like his father, kept a large grin on his face as he flew through traffic, eyeing all of the annoyed citizens staring from inside their immovable vehicles.
Making his way down the main highway, he made his way to the Social District. Passing through a busy intersection going at a speed of 90MPH, Vaughn let out a laugh as he heard honks of horns and road rage from behind him. Vaughn turned a corner and slowed himself down, going the speed limit of 30MPH. As he reached speed he noticed a police cruiser a few blocks down. As he speed by, he tipped his head and let out a smile. The officer nodded back, completely oblivious of the crimes Vaughn had just committed.
He had a list of errands on his mind; errands he wanted to get done as soon as possible so he could finish grading tests. It was the end of Finals Week at the University he taught at, and because of that he finally got some time to himself, and more time to work at the Compound.
Turning another corner, he spotted his fathers Camaro parked in front of his favorite diner. His father had told him countless times of the story of how he would often take his mother to this very diner. Vaughn drove passed and looked through the windows. He spotted his father, sitting in the exact same spot. Under his breath Vaughn mumbled, "French fries and a chocolaty milkshake no doubt."
Vaughn knew there had to be something ill about his father. He continued to go looking after his mother like it was an obsession. He promised himself he would not turn around--But as he got farther and farther down the street the feeling of guilt grew. Pealing out and making a u-turn, Vaughn sped back down the street towards the diner.
He parked in front of his fathers Camaro, and walked up to the front door. A bell rang as he stepped inside and the waitress turned to give him a smile. Vaughn stepped towards her whispering, "How's he today?"
The waitress turned and eyed the back of Dean's head for a moment, "Same as always."
Vaughn nodded and stepped towards his father. Slowly he sat down in front of his father, taking off his glasses and sliding them in a front pocket along his breast. The waitress, knowing the weekly routine gave Vaughn a cup of coffee. Vaughn smiled and let out a deep breath, looking at his father.
"How've you been dad?" Vaughn said, as he blew into his coffee and started to pour in some creamer.

Dean noticed the friendly waitress approach him and he smiled letting out a small chuckle, "Ha-ha, don't worry about the straws but I'll have another menu thank you it'd be lovely.." Dean finished chuckling and watched the waitress disappear as he tucked into his French fries stopping to take a sip of his milkshake. Dean continued eating his fries and proceeding to wolf down his drink it was the same routine all the time he had it down to clockwork most days. He hadn't expected Vaughn his favourite son to show up at the diner, he'd remembered telling Vaughn about the days he'd bring their Mother here.
"Vaughn, it's a pleasure to see you.. I'm.. I'm doing great just having a light lunch before i go and do some cleaning.. Y'know there's a place in the woods that needs to be burned down.. I just need to cool down.. And this is helping me feel relaxed. " Dean smiled and ushered his boy to sit down and relax with him.. Vaughn was always there for Dean unlike his brother, who always seemed to hang around other men then spend time with Vaughn and his father..
"So.. Vaughn have you heard any news about your brother, i got a birthday card which he'd signed with his friend Benjamin.. Nice fellow... Dresses in pink a bit to much.." Dean paused as he finished his sentence taking a large sip of his chocolate milkshake to absolve his mind from what he'd just realised.

She smiled kindly and went to fetch another menu. as she stepped into the back of the kitchen she was stopped by one of the older waitresses. Elora looked up at her, ready to pull away from her since she knew her to be quite a useless gossip, when the dark look in the other woman's eyes stopped her, "Moira, what is it?" Elora asked.
The older woman gave her a concerned smile, "I know you are new here and you are just trying to do a good job but let me tell you something important about the Logan men over there...don't get involved with them." Elora's eyebrow rose. Her curiosity was struck by the statement of course but it was the name that caught her attention. Logan. Luckily for her Moira just kept on explaining, "They are the kind of people that drag you down into their problems. Mysterious, sexy, the worst kind."
"...I was just getting him a menu, Moira," Elora assured the other waitress and carefully removed herself from her grip, "it's not that serious." With a small smile she grabbed a menu and quickly headed back to the table hearing only about a Benjamin and his different choices in clothing, "here you go, sir. Can I get your handsome son anything? Like father like son, huh? You two look so alike."
As sweet as she sounded and appeared Elora was practically gagging inside. She would have never spoken a word like that to strangers, not even for tips, but these weren't any ordinary strangers. They were her targets, she was sure of it.
Heading to the back of the diner after serving the two she went out the doors and phoned her superiors, "send the distraction. I've got them in my tracks." With that she went back inside and made a show about having a very loud conversation with a rather rude ex boyfriend. The truth was no one was on the other line.
She sighed deeply as she made her way back to the table, "sorry about taking so long, trouble calls..." she rolled her eyes, hoping the men would take an interest in her life. That would make the mission a lot simpler. If she could sell the crazy ex-boyfriend story then the plan would go smoothly.

Vaughn took a sip of his coffee and stopped, feeling a bit of a burn on his tongue. Scratching his ear and looking out the window, Vaughn eyed his fathers car and let out a slight smirk from the corner of his mouth. He remembered some found memories in that car.
"Looks dad, you got to get over mom. She's not coming back." Vaughn said, as he looked back at his father in a concerned but almost annoyed way. "There are lots of women--beautiful women in this city. Let yourself get lost for a night."
Vaughn never would have thought he would one day have to tell his dad to get laid or at least some sort of female interaction. He felt awkward. "Sitting here, every goddamn week thinking about the past won't help you dad. You need a cleaner mind. Please. At least do it for me. Okay?"
Grabbing a spoon Vaughn poured in more creamer and stirred it slowly, watching the creamy white circles spiral around in his mug.
Vaughn eyed the young waitress coming over with a menu and gave a friendly smile as she approached. She made a friendly comment to him, but Vaughn just looked to his dad and back at the waitress, not saying much in return. "I'll have a cheeseburger and fries, thanks. Might as well eat while I'm here."
The woman walked away, and Vaughn watched for a moment before looking back towards his dad. "See dad? Women still think you're attractive" , Vaughn said as he gave his dad a friendly pat on the shoulder.
Vaughn turned suddenly as he heard yelling from the back of the kitchen, but could only make out a few words. Something about a rude boyfriend and this and that. The woman came back a few minutes later, giving an apology for walking out.
With a wave of the hand Vaughn replied, "Don't sweat it. Life happens. Why don't you pull yourself a seat and take your break early?" Vaughn said with a smile, offering the woman to join them for their meal. In truth though, he wanted to get his dad back in the dating game and more comfortable with women--Even if this particular woman was way younger than him.

Dean observed as the Waitress came back and in-between that he could notice his son drinking his coffee, Dean was set in his ways and here Vaughn was trying to tell him otherwise.. The Waitress was clearly trying to flirt with his son and he didn't give a damn otherwise.. Dean calmly finished his milkshake listening to what Vaughn had to say.. He'd noticed the waitress was sat next to Vaughn.. Vaughn had told his dad to give up on finding Imogen and that made Dean cross the line.. Gripping onto the table Dean stood up and flipped the thing in Vaughn's direction..
"Vaughn Jared Logan.. You take back those words.. I swore an oath i would never stop looking for your mother, if you want to sit here and poke holes in my work... You sicken me Vaughn.. She was your mother.. " Dean looked at Vaughn and then to the rest of the patrons in the diner.. He wasn't one to air his dirty laundry but Vaughn had flipped his buttons...
"I thought i had raised you right boy.." Dean walked towards the diner exit and flung the door open in his rage.. Dean breathed calmly and walked towards his car, Dean opened the door and put his key in the ignition and sped off leaving Vaughn behind in the diner..
