There has always been talk about those things that hide under the beds of children, or in the darkened street corner. These are not myths, these are stories about two great races - one in the form of the bat, the other a wolf. These two races had been living peacefully until they had stumbled upon the race known as Mankind. At first the wolf and the bat shared food sources with each other using humans as their own personal food. Eventually tensions grew high when the Vampires began to claim the humans as their own personal feeding source, attempting to cut the wolves out.
Finally after much rising tension war broke out and the two races fought constantly; they suffered many loses on each side, the humans had finally started to get involved in the war some of these humans calling themselves Hunters.. after many years the war finally subsided and a peace treaty was formed.
It was organized by a small group of Vampires and Lycans, and they set up an Anti-War group making sure tensions between the two races stayed in balance so war would not break out once more. Led by Zero, the only member whose identity still remains unknown, the group was the only thing holding the races together.
But this group was disbanded around the early 1980s when one of their members was found dead. Each race accused the other of doing it. The members, fearing they would be next, all went their separate ways to avoid treason charges from their own races.
The Treaty still held out. But now it was a mere facade of what it had once been. Open hostility was evident between both supernatural races and skirmishes often occurred beyond the eyes of the law.
The year is now 2012 and the hunters still exist in secrecy, they are hounded by their own government thinking they are the true menace to society, they are constantly under watch from the NYC Nightwatch, who is working to keep the existene of supernaturals a secret. Some hunters have been assassinated by the NYC Night watch to keep them from releasing harmful information about the whole fiasco.
The Lycans and Vampires have their own communities, hiding their true identity from society while blending in right under their noses. Those who dare leave the communities are considered rogues, and are often hunted and killed by either Hunters or their own race.
There have been signs from the two supernatural races that the peace treaty has outlived its usefulness. Now, the group that tried to keep it in balance is coming back together. Everyone knows war is coming and everyone is preparing.
