So when did this... "blood must be shared for someone to be turned" concept come about?
I can't help but notice that it's not stated or even alluded to in the rules, which I have to imagine is really confusing for new members. But more importantly, doesn't this create a shit ton of continuity issues with characters already in existence?
I mean, my character's entire premise was based off of the idea that one can be turned against their will (and consequently without being aware of it). So if one must embrace the wolf to become a wolf, he doesn't even make sense in this universe anymore. I dunno. Seems like such a random thing to change after so many characters have already been created without it.
Did I just miss the memoir about it or something?
Not that I'm trying to sound like a dick or complain, I really hope this isn't read that way. x3 I'm just confused. I just happened to notice it on a few newly created characters in passing, but there don't appear to be any notifications or details or anything anywhere?

I had this same moment of confusion so your question is legit. XD
I got around it in a thread where my character turned a man involuntarily by having him be extremely injured and unwilling to protest as she made him swallow her blood. In other cases, a bleeding wolf can also spread infection if their blood gets into a victim's open wound.
I don't know if this helps at all. D:

I'm sorry if there had been any confusion, but you have to realize that sites will make modifications as they continue to grow. Eternia is a fairly new site so there are bound to be more additions throughout its existence. Just because there has to be shared blood doesn't mean that it has to be consensual. Again, I apologize for any confusion.

Actually inside vampire mythos blood exchange is quite common, haven't heard of it in Lycans tho.

Dracula has a lovely moment in it where Mina drinks the count's blood from his wrist. And I agree with Barry - it's a refreshing change in Lycans. The notion of Lycan blood exchange is more logical than just a bite too - otherwise imagine the sheer amount of humans that rogue Lycans would accidentally convert.
