The atrocious smell of the sewers conquered the underground world, it was horribly disgusting; surely to humans it was. While to Lucas, he could simply get over with it and do his business without any essential bustles. Lucas was acclimated to this kind of scent, ever since he had been infected with this permanent disease that apparently was caused by the wound on his left shoulder. Yet he never recognized these uncommon powers as a blessing or either a curse, sometimes it had assisted him greatly in his deeds. Yet sometimes it would be a bigger destitution.
However, it was mostly an advantage as it would help him in dealing with vampires, it was a mission he ought to do the moment his sister had disappeared behind the door and never returned. However, he was not really on a targeted task this night, he was only wandering through the sewers; even though less oxygen could be breathed. It was pointless really, for any being to search in a stinky liquid dump.
Lucas fixed his eyes at the lined plating below him, allowing passage through the long tunnel that would depart into a series of ones. As he kept his head descended at a level, where it wouldn't crash into the ceiling as it would since he had dropped off the ground to this underworld. The compound was surely either the direc it was tion he's covering, or the opposite one opposed to his back. He couldn't care much, he was not seeking the lycan compound anyway. His luck would claim successful if he ever meets with the sanctuary, a foreign scent draw his attention; furrowing both eyes he planted his palm over the pistol that was set next to his waist.
The entity of this scent held a mystery, either a blood sucker, an armed human or just a fellow lycan. Regardless, he was certain that dealing with this being wouldn't be a problem. The tunnel lead forward and a second passage to the right. Apparently the creature was drawing in distance from the right one, fast. Sweet droplets began trickling down his brows, a giant shadow was formed; this thing was only a mere inches away from his sight. As his heart began beating with frustration, a dwarf rat popped out in his way; shortly after to reach for the darkness ahead.
Lucas dropped into a lazy, drunk-like stance; exhaling the air he would have stored for the moment an 'enemy' would appear. He could have claimed that rat useful as a meal, unfortunately the game had escaped him; that mouse was lucky as hell. Continuing on his path, the darkness was creating for him illusions; which had mostly irritated him as he had no choice but to spend the battery of his torch on to clear the way out. The light was weak, which indicated that the battery was about to close to an end soon.
Only a few minutes, the light began switching rapidly; weakening everytime it had been on. Until the path was dim as usual, he hit his palm to the base of the torch several times, his vain struggle to switch it forced him to hurl the useless device a dozen of miles away.
Great.. I am all alone in this river of shit and pee and there's no creature down here, except for the rats of course... I wonder how am I going to get out.. He thought.
