Hello, I'm noticing some Canon roles don't seem very active. I'm thinking either 2 things; 1. we give the canon roles a nudge to be more active, or 2. we find new active but trusted players to fill the canon roles.
@murdock - I think it would be beneficial to think of ways to encourage active Vampires and bring more Vampires in. Because right now, as you've said yourself, the Vampires are pretty inactive. So if you have any ideas, now would be the time to lay them out.
But honestly guys I really enjoy Eternia, it's probably one of the better roleplay sites I've been on. Plus it would really suck if this place slowed down and died due to inactivity. Honestly it wouldn't take much to get this place rollin'
If you have a canon role, please reply here that you are alive just so that we have a head count. I've looked at some last login dates on a few, and for some it seems like they haven't been on in a long time. I'm not an admin or a leader of the site, but I do care about Eternia and the direction it's going in.

Still sort of alive. Suffering jetlag. @_@
For the Vampire situation: could we possibly hold some sort of sitewide plot (one that didn't affect the main plot) just for them? Maybe a band of rogue Vamps to stir things up/Vampire gang wars. Or hey, maybe we get a traitorous Vamp leaking info to the Lycans? Something to stir things up for them.

Problem with that idea is that we already have so few active vampires let alone have enough to make rebel groups and organization groups. So that idea is out of the table. To be fair there's not much we can do as I only see two or three vampires max logging in, and that's not always, most days it's just me logging in. You can't have a major plot going on with three or four people and even more so when only two of those four perhaps would be actually active on that plot.

I want to know what's turning people from wanting to be Vamps. Is it something to do with the race itself or what? Did Twilight ruin it for everyone! lol

I didn't mean a plot for the already active Vampires. I meant a plot to entice people into choosing to BE Vampires when they join. As Barry said, people might be turned off of Vampires - maybe because of all the bad media, so we need something that, maybe, can be posted in the Races page (a little inner story going on with the Vampires) that entices people to choose to have a Vampire character. I'll be honest, I'm debating creating a new character and it's between a Hunter or a Vampire right now. but I don't feel at all inspired by the idea of a bloodsucker with some internal crisis moping around town. It rings cliche.

Did Twilight ruin it for everyone! lol Yeah I think Twilight and crap of the bunch are the things ruining vampires for most people, or so I've been told. But in my honest opinion if someone thinks of twilight when we're talking about vampires then that someone has no knowledge of vampires and we don't really need 'em RPing as a vampire. In terms of a plot to bring out new vamps, I'm down with that, it's just a question of thinking of something.

Vampires wouldn't have that...but maybe they'd have something more demonic or something? Maybe we need a Vampire dance club where they seduce and turn people or something and are secretly raising an army vs. the lycans. Some deep underground organization type stuff going on. I always pictured the Vampires being more strategic and quick in their maneuverings whereas the Lycans would be blunt. I'm sure Skye can come up with some good ideas too on how to spruce up the Vampires and make them more attractive roles for new people.

That reminds me so much of the clubs in Vampire the masquerade so it is attractive, even still from that game I had another idea, in it you have an organization of the most powerful vampires called The Camarilla which are enforcers of the vampire laws and basically start a witch hunt on anything against them, they are powerful and relentless. Perhaps have the Elder create his own little enforcer group and start some bloodhunts on people. Wouldn't be that bad to have a small canon group of those same enforcers, like a group of the most sadistic and brutal vampires hired only to hunt their own kind when they fuck up or just important enemies, kinda like assassins.

I like this idea. It's a start. At least it has potential to attract new people and new vamps.

I was actually really hoping we'd have a supernaturals-only club or bar. Humans enter at own risk. It isn't intended as a feasting hall, like in Blade or something, but it's just a place where people put aside their problems and hang out. A little anti-war crowd maybe?
Would allow for some fun terse situations. I don't know where I read that but I loved that idea.
