Click, click, click…
Gia’s feet tapped regularly as she walked through the stylish glass fronted lobby of one of the giant buildings in the centre of the city, a stunning place that could only exist in a place full of rich bankers desperate and begging to give away their money to the smart and the charming. The little Italian woman had heard all about this place, she had been casing it for a good while now and in fact this was just the final step of her plan. The hardest had been to get security keys made so she could slip her way in but then it wasn’t beyond her; she wasn’t just a hacker, she had practical skills too.
One of those practical skills was looking hot in a dress, one she was employing to full effect as she walked along the marble floor to the inner reception desk and straight past it, swiping her card, the gate beeping pleasantly to tell her she could enter. There were only the guards left to check her before she went in, after that she should be home and free if only she was quick, quiet and careful. Some people might call what she was doing a heist, but the fact was she was entering the building with nothing illegal and she would be leaving with nothing either, in fact she was bringing them a ‘gift’ as she called it.
It was a gift that would make sure that she got all the money she needed, if she worked it right. Of course she never rocked the businesses down to the core, after all that would mean she’d never need to work again but she could never stay in the city after doing something like that, it would be too much of a risk. No she simply skimmed off the top, most of the places never noticed, most attributed it to clerical error, it would maybe but them one hundred thousand down but never enough to really make a dent in their profits. Gia was always careful, choose the rich and the powerful but not the ones powerful enough to hunt her down and find her.
Of course she had the benefit of being able to disappear in the blink of an eye should any of them recognise her face… well that was to say she would simply become something they wouldn’t notice. All she would need to do would be to change her shape and pay some simple minded human to slap a collar on her and give her a lift out of the city, that was all it would take to get her out of the line of sight if she needed it. It was her back up plan if it was that or go to jail but she knew the pack would hide her if it got that desperate, after all she paid her dues to the pack, she always did.
Walking to the elevator, Gia slipped the forged key card away into her very expensive handbag (on loan from a company that did that sort of thing, paid in cash) and pressed the button for the executive floor, smiling ever so slightly as quiet, classical elevator music filled the room. She could hear the noise of the gear churning, the chains clanking as she was lifted up and up into the building, hearing the voices of people talking business in the floors she passed on her way up. Her way of preparing before something like this was to go for a run the night before and sleep in the form of a wolf, her senses were always so much sharper afterwards and while that could make the city an overwhelming place to be, the advantages were worth it.
The light and cheerful ping alerted her to the fact she had reached her desired floor and Gia moved smoothly, absentmindedly brushing her long fingers through the thick brunette wig she was wearing, so well fitted and perfect for her colouring it looked natural, real human hair, curled to perfection. The tight little office dress she was wearing limited her movements as she sauntered through the building, her strides shortened, her muscles cramped by the awkward outfit. The fact was she would rather be wearing something like jeans and a tank top, maybe a waistcoat… her outfits when she was relaxing had a sexy nerd charm that no one would deny, or perhaps more sexy grunge… whatever it was she hated having to dress up smart like this, she was a practical lady.
There it was, just ahead. The office of the owner of the company as far as she knew, she had done a little research on him but nothing that made it sound like he was someone she couldn’t take in a direct confrontation. Rich kid, millionaire son, easy target for a pretty face. She hoped she would have to see him at all, he was supposed to be in a meeting now after all, she saw no need to risk her own face getting known. Gia paused outside of the door and listened for a moment, she could hear voices all around but nothing in the office itself.
Quickly she stepped forward and opened the door, moving swiftly and directly toward the computer desk and pulling her handbag down lightly. She had once attempted to remove her own fingerprints but as a werewolf it just healed far too quickly for it to be worth her effort. Instead she simply would wipe down once she was done, sitting down in the comfortable chair her fingers moved fast as she started, unlocking the computer shouldn’t be too hard, not with the little pen drive that she had with her at least, that algorhythm would work through anything given enough time… and oh the goodies it would install all over that computer, so deep into the network it would be impossible to get them out without an entire hard reboot and system clean, something that a company just couldn’t do. One infected machine would just reinfect the entire network again. That was why she had to get to this computer, this one had all access unlike most of the employees computers… she had been working on this little tracker for years now, on and off and had tested it on plenty of smaller companies, she had her eyes everywhere in the city… she had so many slave computers around. Hell if she wanted to she could spam most of the msn accounts out there given the time.
Time was all that she needed which was why she sat in front of the computer, twiddling her thumbs and watching the launcher running, isolating this computer to stop it from triggering alarms and get to work on the code. She would only need a minute or two before she could leave, leave her little virus to do the work for her.

The alarm clock called out 6am and Damian slammed his hand down on the snooze button getting out of bed and opening his wardrobe he threw down the shirt and tie he'd picked out the night before grabbing his trousers and jackets off the hangers. He slipped into his clothing adjusting his tie in front of the mirror. He stood there adjusting his hair and slide his jacket on walking down his stairs towards the kitchen, he pushed the button on the coffee maker as it screeched out loud pouring his coffee as he began to pour himself a bowl of cereal as he sat around the large dining table.. Sitting there he zoned out from the sounds he was making. Crunch, crunch, crunch.. The sound of his chewing of the cereal-- Damian sipped his coffee as he sat there finishing his breakfast he put it in the kitchen sink and looked at his house before grabbing his coat and walking out to his garage.
Damian looked over the collection of cars he'd recently purchased as he stopped in front of the Dodge Challenger, he put his keys in the ignition and the car engine roared as he drove it out of the garage and towards the city centre. Damian pulled up outside of the building his father once owned and he looked at the guard who opened the gates for him to reach his parking space. As Damian parked his car a few of his employees who had arrived for the 6:30 breakfast that the company held, the smiled and waved at him and he politely smiled and waved back walking into the building. Damian stood in the lobby of the building the phones ringing and people working hard and enjoying their work space, Damian had a meeting at 9am so he had time to kill until he was needed - He pushed the button of the lift as he heard the people behind him queuing up to get in the lift.
The lift arrived and Damian stepped in pushing random buttons as he waited for the people to depart the lift, he headed towards his office on the top floor, he walked down the hallway putting his hand on the doorknob as he twisted it and walked into his office he tossed his jacket on the coat rack as he walked towards his desk taking a look out of his window enjoying the beautiful day as he could see people racing around and all preparing to get to their own work places. Damian sat at his desk as he began reading the newspaper his assistant had left him. The Batman: Man or Menace was on the front page as he chuckled to himself placing it across from his desk as his assistant knocked on his door bringing him a warm cup of coffee and laying it on his desk as he thanked her Damian sipped the coffee and brought his chair closer to his computer checking over certain documents for his upcoming meeting with a new company that he was checking into. Damian spent the entire morning in his office reading various documents when his assistant came to tell him it was time for the meeting he grabbed a stack of files.
Damian proceeded towards the board room as he opened the door he could see the executives sitting there as he moved towards his chair.
"Okay, Mr. Queen, I'd like to get a few statements from you first.. Unfortunately at this time i don't want to invest any of our Reagan technology into your aspiring company as I've been hearing rumours of illicit activity. and well sadly i don't want to associate with you so I'm going to put a halt to any current projects you had with Reagan offices.. And we'd like some of our technology samples back. I mean of course there is always room for burgeoning but not right now, we're keeping our business legal and no illicit. " Damian said as he pushed the folders towards the man and gestured to the door before speaking up again. "Now get the hell out of my building.." Damian opened the door and walked back down the hallway towards the elevator.. He'd pushed the button relentlessly to no avail he opened the door to the stairwell he'd have to run up three flights of stairs and that was an easy task for a man of his standing.
Arriving at the top of the stairs he opened the door and proceeded towards his office, he was a few minutes away until finally reaching the door he proceeded to extend his hand towards the door handle, his assistant spoke to him and he hushed her away ensuring he'd be back in a couple of minutes. Damian opened the door and stepped inside closing it behind him as he looked towards his desk he noticed a woman sitting in his chair and on his computer. Damian walked to the small tray next to his couch as he poured himself a glass of "Scotch" which was really just apple juice disguised to look alcoholic to fool his employees into thinking he liked to have himself a scarce drink now and then.
"Well, i didn't expect to have a visitor in my office without my prior knowledge and she managed to get onto my personal computer.. Brilliance at its best even if your actions seem slightly criminal... I mean personally i wonder who would send such a figure to do a job like this... One of my competitors or the mafia... You must be working for somebody... Everybody always works for someone.." Damian walked towards the desk holding the glass and looked back at the newspaper which had been slightly scuffled up as she'd been setting about her hacking work.. She seemed like she knew what she was doing and he wasn't prepared to let her escape with his companies secrets and or his own personal secrets.

Gia heard him coming but by the time she had realised who it was it was far too late. The door to the office opened and the leader of the company casually walked in, barely giving her a glance as she sat behind his computer chair, fingers moving with speed that looked slightly inhuman as she was trying to work her way around the firewall. Her little virus had done a lot of the work for her but had been blocked before it had slipped all of the way in, she barely had control of this computer and the rest of the network was still beyond her.
The moment the man walked in and casually went to get a drink of what looked like alcohol, right up until Gia caught a whiff of it, the scent of apple made it unmistakeable. A small smile flickered over features as she watched this showman, this actor put on a demonstration that was almost good enough to match hers. Even as he began his little monologue she didn’t stop typing, all she needed was a chance to get in there, okay she wouldn’t be able to skim the money off that she needed but she could at least snag as much data as possible, data on his consumers would be very very useful, good enough to sell even.
The smile on her face as her eyes followed him was casual even as he walked closer bringing with him the scent of apple juice, testosterone and… curiosity. He had no fear as far as she could tell but then of course why would he, he had no reason to be scared of the woman sitting behind his computer and typing like a maniac, regardless of how relaxed she looked. ”I suggest if you plan on stopping me walking out of here you get a gun.” She waved toward the desk drawer and though she couldn’t be sure she thought she scented gunpowder there.
”Working for someone? As if they could afford me. Why work for someone else when you can work for yourself and gain all the profit?” The question was of course entirely rhetorical really, she was just buying a few more valuable seconds. Moving her hand slightly from the keyboard she leaned forward and slipped the USB drive out of the slot, hopefully too quickly for him to notice, sliding it away into her top as she adjusted her hair.
With that she stood and walked from behind the desk, her long limbs as graceful as an antelope in the face of a lion, but this time she was the predator. He might try to restrain her but he would have little chance of that, he didn’t smell like a lycan and out at this time in the day he certainly wasn’t a vampire. What hope could he have in stopping her? Hell if she leapt out of this window right now she knew she would survive, she could drop a floor or two, crash through the window and disappear into the maze of offices. Someone might catch sight of a massive stray dog disappearing into an alleyway later on but no one would see her again.
”I’m going to walk out of here now, feel free to call the police if you like. You’ll be pleased to know I haven’t funnelled any of your money out but you might want one of your tech boys to have a look at your computer.” She touched two of her fingers to her forelock in a sort of informal salute and moved to slip past the man that blocked her way, ready to dodge past him.

Damian observed her moving she was a sly one but she was smart, so would have been afraid of someone smarter than themselves but he wasn't prepared to let her leave without a fight and he wished he could have thrown on his cape and chase her down..
Of course he could have allowed her to leave and he would have trailed her later. but she was quite burgeoning on him and he liked a challenge of course he loved a challenge, Damian placed his glass down on the table as she had began to walk towards the over her and as she began to open the door he kicked the swivel chair in his office towards her in that general direction.
"I don't know what kind of cat burglar you are.. But some of my secrets are better kept hidden.. Now i think you should hand over that USB stick before i have to fight you... And well let's say i work out a tad more than your average business man." Damian smirked as he walked back towards the door, she wasn't going to leave not without losing what she came for.. He wasn't going to lose.. His computer had many things hidden away on it and she looked like she might work with the wrong kind of people and he couldn't have his secret getting out.
Damian couldn't have his secrets revealed he did things.. Things normal people shouldn't have done and it consumed his life... This suit and tie.. this was his real mask to protect his true identity as a night stalker, stopping those that did wrong.. If people knew about this his loved ones would get affected and he wasn't prepared to let them get hurt because of a hacker.
"I don't, want to fight you truth be told.. I'm willing to give you two options... You hand over that USB Drive and i pay you to help me do a couple of important jobs that i believe you are more capable of... Or the second option we fight, i win security drags your unconscious corpse out of this building.... But I'm sure we're both adults and can talk about this nicely. " Damian stared at her with his eyes locked on hers as he folded his arms with not a trace of fear in his eyes.

Gia had seriously been hoping for him to watch her go and call security on her, that would have given her enough time to get out of here without problems, she would have only needed to make it onto street level before she disappeared and while he might try to keep up with her, track her elsewhere he’d have trouble doing it. She was invisible in all but the literal sense. However of course it wouldn’t be that easy, the chair shot across the room and would have crashed into her legs if she hadn’t jumped back instantly in a graceful movement, leaping like an antelope to keep distance between herself and the man in the room. He seemed more like a predator than prey to her, if she were a human woman then right now she would be feeling real fear.
”We all have secrets to hide, don’t worry Mr. Reagan, I’m not after your secrets… just your money.” She slid her hand back into her top, pulling out the USB stick and waving it casually toward the businessman. He was fit looking but she was stronger than most human men, even if she wasn’t as strong as most lycans. She figured if she needed to it wouldn’t take much to fight him, knock him out and throw him down on the ground before escaping, sprint through the building and get out.
That was until he made another, better offer, one where she would get paid anyway. The fact was running out like this now was going to take a hell of a lot of work once she got home to cover up herself, her identity and all the rest. He need never know who she was if she worked with him instead of against him and she would still get her money. It was tempting, the best of both worlds really and it made her pause instead of just kicking the chair away again and opening the door once more.
”I tell you what, tell me about your jobs and maybe we can come to an agreement. You get back this drive for a nominal fee and I’ll help you out. I can be a very useful ally, I promise.” Gia took a lock of long hair that hung down her shoulders to her chest, twining it around one finger slowly and carefully. It was nice having long hair she considered and if it wouldn’t be too much of a pain having ridiculously long fur as a wolf she might have let hers grow out, then again though her current short hair (hidden under the wig) would be far far better in any fight or flight situation, and it meant that she wouldn’t need to colour it every time she had to change what she looked like; any good wig would do instead.
