So I'm starting this thread to get opinions and ideas for what you would like to see on Eternia.
Ideas can be anything really. They can be places to post, events, plots, characters, etc. I would like to get a discussion going so we can further improve the site.
I would, however, like to concentrate more on plot ideas you guys may have. Of course, eventually, we would like the war to start up again, but any ideas on how or why are very much encouraged.
I would like to hear from the members.
So please tell me what you think. ^_^

I think I'd like to see more species variation. The Werewolf/human/hunter/vampire square has been done so many times before, I always feel like every forum blends into one another. I mean, I'm a huge fan of werewolves, so it's never really stopped me before. But being a huge fan of werewolves always makes me wonder why we are always limited to just wolves. I've always liked the concept of werecats and weredogs myself. Weredogs seem like they could be a fun plot point as they would have an easier time blending into the city surroundings, in animal form anyway.
But that's just me being a werecreature nerd.
A plot of some sort might be fun. We don't really have any wolves (or not wolves) joining up with any of the canon groups. Perhaps something could be done to encourage this. The military gets involved perhaps or a natural disaster strikes the city. In real life, I live right outside of New York City and some of the storms we get can be pretty devastating- flooding subway tunnels and streets, cutting off electricity, etc. If the various species strongholds are the only places not flooded, perhaps that would encourage some interaction.
In the Underworld movies, Lycans were taken captive by vampires and kept as pets- guard dogs essentially, for their establishments. Perhaps kidnapping some of the lone wolves might stir up a bit of a fight. Though this will unfortunately paint the vampires as "bad guys", which is not always favorable in roleplays I know. I'm trying not to be too terribly biased. x3

I don't mind being painted as the bad guy, Salvatore was a conqueror after all. And the idea of Lycans being captured to become pets had crossed my mind, but controlling a Lycan wouldn't be that easy so I just scratched it out.

That is a fair point. I'm sure there are pets much easier to keep than werewolves. But some legends state that vampires can control lycans magically as part of their supernatural nature. Some say that a vampire who bites a werewolf gains a certain amount of mental influence over said wolf, while others claim that vampires are simply telepathic with some mind control abilities (as was displayed in Van Helsing). Either way, if magic can be used to get the upper hand, then it's not too far a stretch to believe that vampires could in fact kidnap and keep lycans as pets.
Some other legends suggest that werewolf blood (or vampire meat to werewolves, it swings in both directions sometimes) has some seriously beneficial properties when ingested by a vampire, such as allowing them to walk in sunlight. This might be a more believable reason to steal a bunch of weaker, unwise or otherwise unsuspecting wolves while the pack is not paying attention.
Another idea to pursue might be the concept of werewolves and vampires teaming up to fight against the humans. "Teaming" might be too strong a term. "Begrudgingly forming a truce" might be more accurate. It can be very entertaining, forcing two groups that hate each other to interact in a peaceful way against their will, so perhaps the humans or hunters or someone launches an attack against both vampires and lycans. The supernaturals team up briefly, only to have one group or the other betray their truce in some horrible backstabbing dramatic sort of way, sparking a war with more specific reasons behind the hostilities.

Okay! Here's what I was thinking in regards to getting the war sparked again.
So the hunters are doing under the table dealing of weapons for both the vampires and lycans. I was thinking perhaps the Hunters were the ones to actually entice the two races to break the truce through trickery and framing.
Both the Lycans and Vampires control major companies and I was thinking that the Hunters would kidnap important members of the company's boards and maybe plant evidence that would lead the other race to believe it was the enemy.
(Sorry if this is scatterbrained, I keep getting distracted.)
So both races have important people being kidnapped/murdered and their logical step is to wage war seeing how they would assume the other race broke the treaty.
Yes?
I would probably make some IC posts on this account to get things rolling.
