Raban had raised an interesting point, how long would it take before Vik's guards got bored, they were chosen for their fierce loyalty but they were known on occasion to listen to their animalistic nature. The rapid pack was baying for blood and if they had any idea who the human was that was standing beside their Alpha, they would of course had already dealt with the situation, that was the last thing he wanted. Viktor knew how this would play out if the hounds came into play, there would undoubtedly be bloodshed, this cafe would become little more than a rotting pool of blood and death, he would prefer if it could be avoided. Viktor enjoyed the secrecy that he and his kind enjoyed, they could walk the street during daylight without any negative effects unlike the fangs and yet they were just as powerful. No one knew their faces, they could blend into any crowd nothing about them stood out, he didn't want his own face or that of his fellow pack member splashed all over the 12 O'clock news, it would inhibited their ability to go about their business.
"Don't worry about my hounds, they are house trained, they won't move without my say so." His words rung true, they wouldn't move without a word from him, unless they suspected that the situation stopped him from telling them to move, then they would use their own initiative and as well as they had been trained he knew their tendencies. Then as he glanced back to the human, he spoke, asking what the Alpha was doing out of his sewer. Viktor almost smiled, the lack of information was astonishing, this hunter had seemed so well versed in their world and yet that last line showed that the hunters relied as much on folklore as actual information. Whilst they had a base under the ground and it was true that the sewers adjoined it, to suggest that the Alpha was a creature to cower in the shadows was at best naive. Viktor was no stranger to the boardroom, although he had used puppet figure heads from time to time he was always there in some way attempting to control the situation in order to secure his pack's future.
"Aww child, did your parents tell you about the big bad wolves stalking the sewers snatching up children? My presence here is of no concern to you, nor is my reasons. Perhaps you should spend more time watching those that walk your streets, service your cars and even heal your sick. My people are everywhere, they work, they go to school and much more, don't be foolish enough to think your safe." He was done playing nice, it was time to turn up the heat on the so called hunter, human's were no longer on top of the food chain and it was about time that this one started acting like it.
