After a long day of shopping, Rachel found herself back in her apartment getting ready for work. She came in with a black shirt with blue jeans, changing into a navy blue blouse and navy blue slacks. She wasn't one for wearing skirts or wearing high heels for that matter. To many males had flirted around with her, trying to get in her pants. She started working in this bar at the age of eighteen, but wasn't allowed to serve alcohol until the age of twenty-one. She would fill the drinks and another waitress or waiter would deliver the drinks. She go behind the customers and pick up the glasses and whip off the counts and tables. She also had bathroom duty which was fine by her. She didn't really act like a waitress till she was twenty-one. She'd get tips and share with the other waitress or waiter that came to assist. Enough about her past, this is present time.
Thoughts continues to come through her mind as she rubbed the foundation on her face. Getting her face and her neck down to the collar bone to make it match skin tone. She smiled and rubbed a dark red blush on her cheeks, making them look slightly a dark pink, light red. She grabbed her eye shadow, slowly putting a dark blue on both eye lids. Then she started on her black eye liner, both of top and on the bottom. Then she pulled out a dark red lipstick and rubbed it onto her lips. She placed her makeup in the bag and put it under the counter in the bathroom. She brushed her long brown hair, making it nice and straight, then set the brush down and brushed her hair back with her hand. Time to go to work, she walked out of the bathroom with her keys in hand, grabbing her purse and walking out the door. She waited at the bus stop, then got on.
Once at work she walked inside towards the bar, making her way to the back. Since she was there, it was her shift and the other waitress were free to go home. She grabbed paper from the back and walked over to the counter. Waiting for somebody to ask for refills or to order something, Two females came up to the counter, she smiled at the two of them. "Can I take your order?" She was only behind the counter till the bartender came. "Four shots." The ladies ordered, she wrote it down to keep track and got the drinks.

Danticus had stood up from the bed he stretched yawning loudly looking proudly at his bed filled with the super model from the previous encounter. Danticus rubbed his and grabbed his jeans slipping them on and darting out the door.
He'd been sleeping with various models from the fashion shoot that he'd been staking out but he'd grown tired of the hum-drum trash and he required a new challenge something fun.. something getting into the game for. He stopped of the apartment he'd been renting and changed into something more fancy and began to set his hair in a style. After finally getting ready he hopped out the door getting a into town - As he stepped out he felt the bustling nightlife in the air taking a moment to inhale.
Stepping inside Finley's tavern this place was like a second home to him it was that kind of place he'd picked up many girls from here and tonight it seemed to be bustling with cheap gutter skanks... Not the type this hunter was stalking... he needed fresh new prey something to fight... this was going to be a beautiful evening.. Danticus grabbed one of the stalls near the bar and saw the bar mistress handing out drinks to girls and he waited for it to die down before he made his order..
"My, My I've been here quite a while and i remember most of my visits but i don't remember such a cute face like yours... how about you set me up with a whiskey and your number sweet stuff.." Dante spoke shooting her a smile and a nod his blue eyes meeting hers as he spoke. He was going in for the kill, the waitress had ticked his radar and he wasn't going to let her slip from his grasp.. Even if it meant degrading himself.. He was going to make a move on her before the night was over and he knew she'd be his eventually even if it took a few times visiting the tavern he was going to get her.
"So... i like to know my server... i mean I'll share my name if you'd share yours... maybe it's as pretty as your face although I'm not one to judge" He kept his boyish smirk as he looked her up and down with his eyes.. She was pretty cute he wasn't going to deny it but he wasn't going to use all his best stuff until later on in the night... She seemed like she'd block his advances and he liked that about a woman - Till they finally broke and fell into his arms it was a system he used and it worked.

Rachel came back and handed the shots to the woman. Her eyes looked away for only a second before hearing a voice in front of her. Hmmm, so he is one of those types of guys. I'll play along I suppose. "Hmm, how about I get you the whiskey like you want, and you give me your number instead." Sad thing was that she didn't have a cell at this time, it broke on her and she hadn't paid for a new. That wasn't the reason for her comment though, it was because he wanted her number and would dump her later. At least if she had his number she could do it back to him. Pay phones still worked after all. He had such a nice smile, it almost made her believe he was a gentlemen. She heard him speak to her, as she finished writing down his drink and went to go get it. She came back with the whiskey and set it down in front of him, withdrawing her hand right away just in case he planned on grabbing for it.
She placed a grin on her face, then spoke up. Giving her name wouldn't give him her address. "Rachel Sanders." It really didn't matter if he gave one back, she planned on this being the only time that she would run into him. Finally the regular bartender showed up and she moved from behind the counter to let him continue with his job, giving him the list of drinks with each and every order. Now this male would see what she was wearing, navy blue blouse, navy blue slacks and black sneakers. "Any other orders you have, ask him." She winked and slowly walked away to approach other tables, that being her normal job. "More vodka." One of the males said, she wrote it down. "Two beers." Another male ordered for him and his girl friend, or maybe it was his wife. She wrote it down on her paper and returned back to the counter, grabbing the drinks, making her way back to the table. It may not have seemed like it, but she had her eyes on that male. The one that had started flirting around with her. He didn't seem like the type of guy that would just let her leave. She walked to the counter and back to the tables, refilling drinks, since it was her job as a waitress.

"Rachel Sanders, it's a pretty name I'll admit... and well in return i give you my name Danticus Stark... you can call me Dante if you'd prefer i mean just hearing you talk is like music to my ears..." Okay facing the facts sometimes Danticus could be a gentleman and it pained him to do it but he was a good person at heart.. He just needed the right woman in his life.
He wrote his number down on a napkin that was adjacent to his whiskey glass.. As she made her way back around the counter collecting drinks he slipped it in with her orders and he wrote it with his name just so she wouldn't forget his name..
"Okay when i said you were pretty that was an understatement you are more than pretty in England I'd say you were a gorgeous lass but... well damn you're a gorgeous lass... " He smiled again, she was having quite a positive effect on him he could feel the already confident scene it was just talking to her in-between orders.. She seemed like a nice person so he figured he'd ditch his act and pull out the stops.. even if it sickened him he was the gentle type.. and she seemed like a person that inspired that part of him..
"Well Rachel.. I'll stop talking to you if you're busy i mean it seems like a lot of the men here like to flirt with you and i wouldn't want to any of them up... I mean your way more deserving then some of the cheap ass remarks that some of these guys give off its hilarious if you'd think about it.." Danticus picked up his glass tasting the whiskey as he brought his glass back down on the bar.. He ordered another gesturing towards the bar-keep spinning on his stool as she went off again towards more punters carrying drinks off with her.. She did have a nice ass too he spied as he spun around facing off from her taking another drink.. He repeated the steps and drank it asking for another... It was going to be a long night.
Danticus shot her a smile as she dealt with the customers he was glad she seemed to like talking back to him.. It seemed friendly and awesome that he liked to think of it like that.

Rachel smiled back at him, so he was a gentleman. "Your so sweet Danticus. I think I will call you Dante for short." She was being honest, it even have her hoping that maybe she would have a nice chat later. It all depended on how the night lasted. She felt his hand place something in her pocket, she did nothing, she'd look at what he took later. She thought that maybe he had taken something from her pocket. She pulled out the napkin to see the number and his name. She looked back at him and smiled, placing it back in her pocket for keeps. She couldn't shake him out of her head, it was just so sweet. Maybe she had made a mistake about him. No matter she had his number, she'd be able to find him sooner or later if he did something stupid to her. She was one to talk though, she wasn't committed, but she was just waiting for the right person.
Wasn't committed, some might date many people or have one night stands. She doesn't do that, she dates and that is all. She promises nothing about getting into a relationship, being hurt to many times before she agrees. "No need to swear." She winks at him, taunting. "Stop talking?" She questioned, giving a fake frown. "Maybe you should tell them off for me." She winked again, letting him get back to his drink. If she wanted to get paid, she'd have to stop talking to him unless she was giving him drinks. Somebody came out of the male's bathroom sick like a pig. She rolled her eyes, she did the bathrooms, she just cleaned that too. She slowly went behind the counter to place the orders down, having the male bartender take charge of her customers and grabbed the cleaning supplies, and made her way towards the males bathroom.
She knocked on the door, no answer. Slowly she opened it, to see if anybody was in there. Sighing, she placed the sign on the door letting others know that she was in there cleaning up the mess. The stall was a mess, there was barf everywhere. "Oh that is so gross." She shut the stall behind her and locked in, starting to clean up the nasty mess. Why the male bartender couldn't come in and clean the male's bathroom was beyond her. She got on her knees and started cleaning up the mess around the toilet where most of it had gone. There was a noise, somebody had walked in. She froze in the stall, listening nervously.

Danticus been observing Rachel as she continued on with her bar-maid duties. She'd gone around the bar multiple times and he checked out as often as she could. She was pretty good at her job and her outfit suited her it wasn't until he noticed a person stumbling out of the bathroom looking sicker than a dog. Danticus paid no attention to it till he saw Rachel head towards the bathroom with cleaning supplies. "Have fun!" He called out shooting her a wave.. at least she'd have been alone in the bathroom and could easily get her attention... He pondered something until he noticed a gentleman follow her into the bathroom.
Well at least she'd have company as she cleaned up the toilets Dante laughed to himself and he headed towards the bathroom, closing the door behind him he walked over to one of the urinals and did his business waiting for the other gentleman to leave. Once he finished he proceeded to wash his hands thoroughly with the soap still eyeing the stall door..
He noticed the man finishing in the stall that he assumed Rachel was in and he gave the man a nod who left without washing his hands. Sitting on the counter-top he counted in his head to twenty before he heard the latch of the toilet stall door open and he saw Rachel emerge having finished cleaning up the other persons vomit.. Looking over Rachel he noticed the stall was spotless and he nodded.
"Well it looks like you've done a good job... i think... how about a reward seeing as that male bartender didn't want to do this job for you. " Danticus leaned in close and pecked her on the cheek before pulling away slowly and looking into her eyes.. She was rather pretty that was undeniable it's the thoughts that popped into Dante's head next that had him shaken up inside as he moved back in closer and planted his lips on hers giving her more than a peck on the cheek this time.
After a minute or so he pulled back and looked at her again.. He was blushing slightly... "Sorry... Couldn't help myself.." He playfully smirked looking at her... he figured she'd respond with either a slap or a witty comment either way he at least knew how her lips tasted.. and he liked it.

Rachel rolled her eyes at him, thinking to herself that he was being mean. At the same time thought it was funny. Another door had opened, now there was more then one guy in the bathroom, she was sure of it. She swallowed, listening and cleaning at the same time. She finished up cleaning the stall trying to focus on the vomit instead of the men coming and leaving the bathroom. She unlocked the door, looked at Dante at the counter almost dropping the stuff in her hands. What the... "How long have you been in here?" She was having a hard time not wanting to smack him. She was kind of nervous out that he was in the bathroom with her, and they were alone. That made her smile just a little bit. "You were right, the men do hit on me a lot." Which was true, but he was proving it right there.
She didn't move when he kissed her cheek. Now the next thing she didn't expect. She slowly pulled away from him, not sure of what she wanted to do that very second. She was speechless when he said sorry to her and explained himself. Normally a girl would smack a guy that kissed her right away, but deep down she had liked it. She slapped him, it could have been harder, but she went easy on him. "That is for kissing me." She slapped him again, "That is for taking forever to kiss me." She leaned in close and kissed him on the lips lightly. "I get off at midnight. She smirked at him heading for the door, alone in the bathroom yes. Other males walking in, no. Plus she didn't want to hold the cleaning supplies. Hoping that he'd follow she walked out of the bathroom, taking the sign off the door. She went behind the counter and put the stuff back.
She went in the kitchen to wash her hands, cleaning the bathroom was a nasty job after all. Then she started up with orders again, still going around tables to refill. It felt like forever that she finally got off work. 12:00AM. Finally. She was done for the night. Her eyes looked around, searching for Dante. Not seeing him she sat down on the stall, "Get me a Sheryl Temple." What could she say, she didn't drink. The drink came right away and she started drinking it. Oh how she loved the favor, deep down she liked Dante's lips more.

She had slapped him lightly.. Admittedly he chuckled inside once she did.. but when she pulled him back in for that second kiss he didn't feel like chuckling he felt like cracking a joke at the situation but his mind drew a blank.. He followed her out back into the bar and shot her a smile as she continued to go about her rounds. Danticus left the bar for a moment to catch his breath taking in the night it..
It was calming and pleasant and he let out a sigh of relief. He breathed and waited outside for what seemed like ages and then finally made his way back inside.. He'd shifted away from the lime light and observed Rachel from the back of the bar until she had finished, he watched as she waited on the bar stool and he slowly made his way up to the front of the bar and stood behind her.
Placing his hands on her shoulders brushing her hair out of the way playing a joke on her.. something about her neck stood out to him as he chuckled sliding down into the stool next to her. could they have been bites... or was it something else...
"Hope you didn't miss me too much..." He spoke softly looking towards her spinning around on his chair ordering himself a scotch.. He asked if she would like another drink and paid the bartender to bring him his order as he turned back to face her..
"I almost hate to ask but a part of me wants to... i noticed to circular indents in your neck.. birth marks or something else..?" Dante wanted her to say they were birth marks as if she had said she had been bitten it was a whole another story... He didn't want to have to fight a vampire in public so he was kind of on edge how to react around the situation now he'd seen the marks.. it was all going to have to go well for the plucky hunter otherwise things were going to get bad real fast which could have caused issues seing as they were in a public place and she could have revealed to the world that she was a member of the undead... Dante snapped back into reality hoping she'd reply they had been birth marks... Well here goes he thought....

Rachel jumped lightly when she felt somebody place their hands on her shoulders and move her hair out of the way. It was the hair that covered the mark on her neck. She looked at the male as he sat down next to her. She grabbed her hair and brushed it up against her neck to covered the bit marks again. "Don't worry, I didn't." She smirked back at him, it was hard not to flirt with him. She smiled, finishing her drink and accepted his offer of buying her another. She stopped drinking when he brought up the subject about her neck. Oh dare... so he had seen it after all. She sighed looking away from him. "Something else." She spoke in a whisper, not sure if he had heard her or not. Honestly she didn't believe anybody could hear her, no matter how close they were to her unless she spoke in their ear.
She grabbed the glass with her hands again. She was hoping that he would drop the subject about her neck. She felt ashamed that he had seen her neck. Some crazy guy had attacked her after she had left the bar for the night. She went home and was sick for a while. She really couldn't remember the story behind it, she never seen the male's face that had took a bit and sucked the blood from her. Suddenly she was starting to feel a bit tense. It was quiet, to quiet. Alright she couldn't take it anymore, she finished her drink and stood up. She didn't even bother to say anything to Dante, it was a strange feeling, something about him made her feel uneasy. She walked outside of the bar, taking in the night fresh air. It made her feel just a tad bit better. She pulled the napkin out of her pocket again to look at the number, starting to believe it might be a fake.
She swallowed and placed the napkin back into her pocket. She slowly started walking towards the bus stop. Thinking she heard a noise she turned around, but didn't see anything there. Maybe I should have worn a jacket over this blouse, it's kind of cold outside. She thought to herself, she was having a hard time getting Dante out of her mind. Why was he asking about my neck? What was so important about my neck? She just couldn't get the thought out of her head. The marks on her neck came from the undead that she didn't even know existed. She reached for her purse, that wasn't on her shoulder. She looked around to see if her purse had fallen on the ground. Oh great. Her hands went into her hair, as if her purse would magically show up out of nowhere. Where did I last see it?

Danticus sat alone in the bar, she couldn't have been a vampire.. could she?.. She didn't bear resemblance to any of the vampires he'd killed or catalogued in the previous months.. Looking down he felt sad she had gone because he felt like they had connected but he was still weary after noticing those bites on her neck and she'd left in such a hurry what was he supposed to suspect within his line of work where he knew the undead actually existed and were a very big threat.
"God damn it Dante.." He muttered under his breath and he looked on the bar and noticed she had left her purse-- There was no sense in letting her leave without it so he darted out the door purse in hand looking down the street for someone matching her figure - Finally he spotted her not to far away from the bar and he breathed for a moment before handing her the purse.
"Rachel.. I'm sorry i offended you but it's just-- " Danticus paused for a moment "In my line of work when i see holes like that in a person it usually ends up as bad news..." Dante didn't want to ruin his gentleman image by telling her he gunned down vampires and werewolf's as a day job.. But it meant if he had to reveal the truth to her and she really cared to know he'd have done it in a heartbeat.
"Let's just talk about this please, i don't want this to end up as something that ends on bad terms due to my own stupidity which happens a lot..
I'd like to try and deny I'm not a fool but that's why i do what other people just can't do... and it's a tragic story it really is.. So please talk with me and understand.." Dante reached his hand out to meet hers not directly touching hers but leaving it out there so she could either hold hers out or just leave him here on the corner.
