Danticus pulled himself from his bed, still having a raging headache from the previous night - when he looked in his bed he saw the two passed out twins that he had picked up on his adventurous pub crawl and he smiled wickedly and grabbed his iPhone and took a couple of pictures of the beauties that lay in his bed. "You two will look nice on my blog, I've got to say.." He muttered under his breath before picking up his clothing and walking into the lavish bathroom he began to dress himself appropriately for the night ahead of him. He checked himself out in the mirror admiring how he looked and he grinned nodding his head before walking back out.
He stared at the sisters in his bed and he smiled, unlatching the door he opened it slowly and stepped outside inhaling the scent of a fresh afternoon. Slamming the door behind him. Danticus walked out into streets watching as people pushed and shoved at each other and he smiled simply observing these pitiful fools not knowing what really lurked about, while on his walk he noticed a little coffee stand and he walked towards it taking note of the young man serving beverages and he shoved his way into the front of the line.
"Coffee, black two sugars. " He barked at the man watching as he began to serve his order shaking and finally placing the cup out for Danticus to take. Danticus grabbed it and moved away from the line, taking a quick swig of it he threw it to the floor in disgust and turned to face the small stall again. He reached and grabbed the man who was half way through serving a beverage to a small lady and Danticus threw him down to the curb and brought his face close to his. "Motherfucker.. i said two sugars not one.." He let go of the man and continued walking as people stared on shock at the little incident that just occurred.
Arriving at his favourite nightspot Danticus let a smile take over his face as he stepped in the bustling night club. Girls.. Girls.. Girls.. is all he saw and he loved it taking a mental note of all the clunge on offer, he walked towards the bar squeezing in between a young lass wearing a skimpy dress, he eyed her cleavage before looking at the bartender. "Whisky neat." nodding at the bartender before looking at the girl. "Nice tits, ever been fucked in a bathroom." Looking at her with a sly grin.
He picked up his drink bolting it before being lead through a crowd of dancers by the girl towards the vicinity of the bathroom, after promptly taking the girl into one of the closet stalls he closed the door behind them. He emerged after he had allowed her to fill the bathroom with her screams of excitement. too easy, he thought as he looked towards her while she adjusted her dress.
"I'll totally call you.." He smiled. he wasn't going to. while he slipped out of the bathroom he began to make his way back towards the bar and ordered himself another drink, sitting there he began to scan all faces he saw looking for something much more dangerous to hunt then girls.

Gia leaned forward, gazing into the mirror and focussing as the brushed the comb through her eyelashes, coating them with the thick dark mascara that left them looking shockingly dark and heavy. It was pretty much the final touch at least on her makeup, which she had been doing for the last half hour or so, her hair was another matter, it had barely dried. She sighed, running around her apartment in the towel as she hurried to get ready, knowing she was going to be late. There was a very specific reason she had to look good tonight, a very specific reason she had to hurry her ass up too. Glancing at the clock on the wall she moaned and finally pulled her hair forward, using the hairspray and gel to get it perfect, the glitteringly bright locks looking even paler compared to her dark tan which she had been working on in the park for the last few days.
It was a shame she had to cover up her skin but the scar across her hip and leg really didn’t bear flashing in public without people wondering how it had happened. Hopefully it wouldn’t matter too much since she didn’t think it would be on show until it was too late for anyone to complain. She pulled on the skin tight, wet look leggings that shimmered slightly in the light, trying not to fall over as she hopped across her room, losing her balance and staggering onto her bed where she lay for a moment, arching her back and hauling them over her ass. They were certainly tight enough to show every curve of her ass, it was a good think she was so slim or they really wouldn’t have looked so good.
It was the matter of a moment to pull on the top she had chosen, backless and low cut… in fact cut open to her navel and held together only with a single tie that thankfully hid most of what she had to show. Being a werewolf was useful in situations like this, she was over two hundred years old and yet her boobs were as perky as a twenty year old’s. Stopping to glance in the mirror she checked herself for a nip slip, made sure she was safe and then sprinted across her room, grabbing the ridiculously high heels that lay abandoned near the bathroom. It took her almost ten minutes to put the damned things on, the shoes barely existed in fact and laced all the way up her leg, beautiful but a pain in the fucking ass when you were in a rush. She was already more than half an hour late she suspected, she’d been given a time to arrive and she’d really overshot it.
From there she tried to run for the door, wobbled on her heel and grabbed hold of the door to steady herself… okay running was definitely out. Sighing she instead walked with long, graceful steps and made her way out of her apartment. Only when she was at the bottom floor did she remember she had forgotten her keys, her phone and her purse in that stupid clutch bag upstairs. ”God fucking damn it!” She groaned and did her best to sprint up the stairs and made her way in with the spare key she kept hidden, grabbing her clutch and this time stalking out with fury fuelling her every step.
It didn’t take her long to wave down a cab and make her way to the club she was supposed to go for. A strip club, tasteful, sure. She rolled her eyes as she paid the cover and slipped in, making her way through the crowd to the bar, a smile on her face as she moved with a slow, impressive confidence, ignoring the admiring look of men as she passed. One pinched her ass though and ended up with a fractured finger as she grabbed hold of him and tensed her fist. He left her alone after that.
Moving gracefully Gia slipped onto a barstool and sat down, holding out a note to the bartender who skipped the queue to come and serve her, taking the note quickly and stowing it away. ”Vodka tonic darling. Ice.” She smiled, fluttered her lashes and turned away, letting her accent slip back into her natural Italian accent. She could mimic more than a few accent with amazing alacrity and skill but sometimes her own was just more comfortable and alluring. Even as she watched she saw a man come out of the bathrooms, make his way over to the bar and sit down, casting his eyes about once more. He was sitting only a seat away from her and the seat between them was helpfully empty at that moment.
”Classy. Tell me do they all drop their skirts for you so fast?” She asked casually, leaning forward slightly to sip her drink through the bright pink straw, barely letting her eyes graze over his face, showing an amazing lack of interest in the contents of his pants, unlike every other woman in there.

Danticus spun around on his stall noticing the fiery thing a stool away from him, she was saying something but he didn't really give two shits to her little one liners. Looking her up and down he decided instead of being a dick and luring her away like the rest he'd hang on and see where the conversation would dwell.
"Let's be honest we both know the girl was quite the slapper like the ones i used to pick up in England, but you seem far more interested in trying to gain a piece of me without me having to even say anything. Can i say what a beautiful outfit you're wearing all though all that time and effort you put in so i can see all that clothing on the floor is beyond me dear.." He brought his drink up to his lips as he sipped it with a delightful grin on his face.
He ordered himself another couple of drinks and ordered her another vodka and tonic sliding it across the gap between them; "So does a pretty thing like you have a name or would you just like to hear mine so you can scream it out.. " He was fucking with her to see how she'd react to his comments - he wasn't usually and asshole to women he liked to pull out the main acts but he just wanted something quick and she seemed to push all the right buttons on his sex radar.
Picking up another drink he raised his glass and smiled. "Allons-y" He shot it back faster than a speeding bullet before shaking his head and he looked back towards her. "Alright, let's cut the bullshit, how about i buy us a couple of drinks compliment you're appearance and we have a dance.. simple no?.." He was willing to pay for a couple of drinks and have a little dance, but he was not content with all the bullshit that she could possible offer. in his mind he knew. she'd be clingy and be like please call me maybe we can go for a walk or i can please you sexually.. He heard it all before and it never amazed him how clingy and boring woman actually got once you had shown them the slightest emotional interest.
Danticus strummed his hands on the bar while he continued sipping on various drinks other patrons had clearly left unoccupied, enjoying the free drinks he ordered himself and the woman a stool away from him more. He felt in the giving mood and he wasn't about to let his evening leave him sober. after he had consumed a couple more shots. He boldly moved from his stool and closed the distance between them, he wasn't playing around now he meant business. "Well what i really mean is, even if you have a boyfriend you could tell him you're out shopping, but you could be under me and i wouldn't be stopping. It'd be our secret.. " He winked playfully teasing her with his words wanting to check out how she really felt about being the centre of most of his comments which appeased him greatly knowing how people really felt while he spoke. While waiting on her he felt his phone vibrate in his pocket and he quickly brought it out reading a message from a fellow hunter. He quickly deleted it and slid his phone back into his jackets pocket shrugging it off so he could pay attention to her.
Danticus fiddled with his drink while still paying attention to her muttering odd things here and there but nothing that seemed out of the ordinary, he had been tipped off by one of his friends that one of the oddities he chose to hunt was spotted by another hunter in the vicinity and he wanted to keep himself on full alert in case the beast picked spotted him and he didn't want the public to get injured for his own fuck up... he was blissfully unaware of who the really monster was..
"So how about that dance or do you fancy drinking this place dry." He smirked, wanting to blend in with the crowd so he had less chance of being spotted he looked at her with a smile and nodded.
(If anything sucks i'll go over it later =])

She hadn’t expected him to be English, if she’d had time she would have learned everything she could about him before going here, tracked him down, found his usual haunts, his favourite music and even his fucking shoe size but her dossier on this guy was pretty limited since she’d only known she was coming here a few hours earlier. It had always been her intention to compile a proper dossier of all the hunters in the area, in fact she had started one briefly but scrapped it when she hated the formatting she’d used. Instead she’d remake one later, this only confirmed to her how good an idea it was.
That was the stupid thing, with the internet the way it was these days most people had social media networks, people were begging for her to find their information, find out who they were. Everyone wanted to be known and she was only too happy to oblige. She herself had a twitter account under a pseudonym where she kept some of her human friends and contacts, she had a perfectly normal human life on paper under the name Adrianna Belle but that was nothing that she would ever relate to this real life.
When the man spoke she gave him a true once over, glittering green eyes flowing over his form without the slightest indication of embarrassment or shame. He was crude and crass, nothing that she found attractive but that was all part of the game. Most people were crude by her standards, she missed the old days of courtship, even if the sex was better now, someone asking if she’d fuck them in an alleyway just didn’t have the same charm. Then again that was the problem of being more than two hundred years old, it was too easy to become old fashioned and stilted and she did everything she could to avoid that.
”Pretty cocky aren’t you. Those sluts have got you spoiled if that’s the way you think you’ll get to see any of this.” She gestured to her own body, which was pretty much on display really though thankfully the outfit left all of the most sensual parts to the imagination, which was the fun of it, trying to find the balance between revealing and covering. It seemed like most women these days were content to forget about cover, as long as a nipple wasn’t on show then they were good, she couldn’t understand where all the self-respect had gone.
Still a small smile fluttered across her features, carefully composed air of aloof interest, taking the drink the slid toward her with a nod of thanks, sliding the tiny black straw into the drink and taking a sip, cautious not to smudge the dark lipstick she had applied perhaps an hour ago. ”It’s Gia.” She took another sip and gave him a curious look. ”You really think you’ve got the equipment to please me hmm?” She gave him another once over, this time seeming to look a little more intently as though she were actually measuring him up, her eyes tracing over his chest for a moment, hesitating before returning to his face. ”Looks aren’t everything you know.” He was handsome enough she had to admit that, she could have chosen a worse person to flirt with.
Probably.
She lowered her drink as he made his offer, compliments and a dance, wow he was obviously really trying to get in her pants. What a way to woo a gal. ”Don’t worry, I don’t need you for compliments or for dancing, I get enough of those elsewhere.” She turned a little more direct though far from moving from this bar yet, even if she was supposed to be acting easy she really could bring herself to act like a slut and jump his bone there and then. ”If I had a boyfriend, don’t you think I’d be in bed with him instead of wondering whether you’re worth my effort.” She leaned forward slightly as he moved in closer to her, her eyes flashing to his phone as he pulled it out but she couldn’t see the message and before he had finished reading it her eyes were back on her drink, which she emptied.
This could go south fast, maybe she didn’t have as much time as she had hoped.
”I can’t see the harm in dancing, especially if it’s just the warm up act.” This time she smiled, it was a filthy smile that left a wicked look on her face as she slipped a hand onto his shoulder and lightly slid from the barstool, her five foot four height thankfully added to by the nearly four inch heels she was wearing. Still she felt small. She moved from between the stools, her hand tracing across him as she slipped it from his shoulder and took a step toward the dancefloor, an inviting look smouldering in her eyes.

"Gia. That's a pretty name and well I've got to say you are quite stunning, well so-far you're the prettiest I've met but I'm not going to lie i feel bad for being a dick now." He felt himself swallow his pride for a moment before smiling and stepping out on-to the dance floor. Danticus was very confident in the way he moved between the people but in reality he was shitting himself as he didn't really dance and he wouldn't want anyone to realise this embarrassing fact about him all he really good for was fucking and hunting.
Dante was trying to copy the other people who danced around him, he was looking at Gia and smiling trying to seem like he could blend in, when in reality he looked like someone completely out of his own comfort zone. "Alright I'll admit I'm not a great dancer but we shouldn't hold that against me, but i suppose I've made a royal fuck up of myself I'm going to head back to the bar.. Sorry' bout wasting your time.. " He sighed and let the smile fade from his face as his head dropped and he pushed his way past the crowds of people blocking his exit.
Danticus made his way back towards the bar with his head held down low, he slumped back into the furthest stool away from the crowds and he gestured the bartender, and he ordered himself the biggest bottle of whiskey snatching the bottle away and slipping the note on the counter. He pulled out his phone and began to look through his contact list looking for a specific friend of his.
"What creature we dealing with and where about's has it been seen." He texted quickly shoving his phone back into his jacket pocket and he brought the bottle to his lips and chugged down, Danticus put his head down on the bar and waited till he felt his phone vibrate. Looking at the text he stood in shock "It's a rogue vampire, we picked him up not too long ago, area is secure" Danticus smiled and slide the phone back into the jacket.
Danticus continued to pour himself drinks, and sit alone at the bar hoping Gia had scurried off and found someone far more suitable and less like him, maybe it was for the better. But he sat there content with his solitude and drink.

She couldn’t help but raise an eyebrow at the sudden stream of compliments, the change of pace was almost unsettling the way he seemed to develop a conscience so suddenly. She couldn’t complain but she feared a rouse, some kind of tactic on his part to be honest and while she smiled a small smile, letting her eyes burn into him for a moment she didn’t believe him for one second. This wasn’t the kind of man to have an attack of conscience out of nowhere, he slept with a woman just before he had seen her then started hitting on her so either he was a nympho or shameless. ”I’ve dealt with worse than you, I wouldn’t worry yourself.” She laughed lightly, letting the thrumming music take over the rhythm of her body, feeling it move in her.
In the past she had known every complicated dance step, she could belly dance and she had learned how to flamenco but these days they weren’t appropriate in clubs, only elements of each could be used, weaved together. She let her body move naturally, she had a great awareness of her own limbs and positioning after so much time doing parkour, she had learned how to move and how her body reacted and it showed in her dancing as her hips moved in synchrony to the music. She could sense the man’s discomfort next to her, she could see the controlled movements that were far from natural as he mimicked the crowd. So, he wasn’t a natural dancer? Maybe she should have known that, she should have found out and suggested staying in the bar, she was internally kicking herself and tempted to move closer to him and pass off any dancing as just a way to get him closer to her but he backed off before she made the decision.
She made to answer but he excused himself and disappeared toward the bar that she was simply left standing a little confused in his wake. There was no shortage of men that tried to move in where he had left but a shove from her sent a man collapsing backward and no one else tried. She was furious, barely containing the growling as she gritted her teeth, desperately hoping she hadn’t put her foot in it. Slowly she pulled herself together and slipped through the press of bodies until she could see him sitting at the bar, his phone slipping out of his hand as he stowed it once more in his pocket.
Had he caught wind of her? She doubted it, she wasn’t a big impressive monster, she didn’t leave a trail of kills and she was nowhere high enough in the pack to have a stream of hunters after her. She was no big deal, she was careful and experienced and knew how to hide her existence, she preyed upon the homeless, the alcoholics of the world, the ones that wouldn’t be missed. When she did slip and kill someone unintentionally she left a paper trail that led a thousand miles from her, people around her never died… they just went missing.
Slowly she moved up to the bar and lightly slipped onto the stool beside her hunter friend, not speaking for one moment as slid her hand over and drained his glass. ”It’s a good thing I’m not too keen on that kind of dancing then.” She gave him a sly smile and waved to the bartender and this time ordered a cosmopolitan that she sipped at again, she had nothing against hard liquor but honestly she wanted to keep a clear head for this, getting drunk wasn’t going to help her case at all, it would only make things more difficult.
”You look like you’re on the job.” She said, gesturing to the phone he had not long since hidden in his pocket. ”I’m not interrupting am I?” This time she looked the image of innocence as she spoke though there was still a hint of her wickedness hidden in those deep green eyes.

"Ha-ha, no it was just some friends wondering what i was up to, and you aren't interrupting the company is always good to have especially someone like you." Danticus smiled weakly looking back at Gia who had appeared to come after him after he upped and left her once already. Ordering himself a coke, removing the cap he slowly took a sip from his non-alcoholic beverage. Danticus placed the drink back on the counter swivelling around on his stool to face Gia and he looked her over trying to think of a reason as to why she was sticking around.
He wasn't sure about the state of things this evening and it bothered him, he liked to be in control of the situation and he actually had no control over anything this evening. Thinking back to the Vampire scare earlier that was a close call and Danticus began to ponder what the likely hood of him being found out as hunter would could have happened around the populace of the club, Danticus looked at Gia with a glint of smile on his face.
"What do you say we ditch this dive, and go for a walk somewhere nothing dirty implied i mean just a walk and a talk, or we can stay here.." He looked at her with a quizzing look and adjusted his coat taking notes of the people in the background enjoying the rhythm of the music.. "I mean unless you enjoy being dry-humped by drunk people looking for an easy grope.. you seem much more classy than that so i figured why don't we hit out and explore the world, y'know there's probably plenty of better things outside than what's inside this sweat-locker." Dante smiled weakly as he threw back the last of his drink before standing up and adjusting his jacket.
"Care to join me..?" He said extending his hand offering it out to her, he wondered if she would take it or she would shrug it off and walk out herself. He meant nothing sexual at this point more of two people walking out hand in hand. Danticus wasn't sure what was crossing his mind in-between waiting for her to respond to him or to the beats of the music everything seemed to be flashing before his eyes and he began to blink trying to stable himself out. After a couple of moments he finally stopped thinking and resumed waiting and conversing feeling people move between him and the dance floor, it was everything or nothing to him and he was unsure of how he wanted the rest of the evening to go. He had began to get a feeling of Déjà vu and he felt uneasy about the whole situation.
Shrugging his feelings off he started to pull back his hand, but he stopped himself leaving it out the for her to take or to shrug off his attempts at flirtation and friendship. But he figured what was the harm in not trying at least to appear friendlier and less of a dick to her.

Gia was worried about coming on too strong admittedly, her bright eyes traced over the man’s figure with an intensity that she spoke no word of. Every hint her body exuded told him that she couldn’t help herself, that she had followed him out of intense curiosity and interest, that she wanted to talk to him, to know him. Years and years of spending her time with humans, living amongst them and spending her time watching them, following their trends had taught her well, she had learned her lessons and could convince the best of them. Not only that but being a computer nerd with access to more than any typical nerd she’d even gotten the chance to train herself against polygraph tests… not that those were useful but they were fun to go up against.
”I’ll have to make the most of my welcome then.” And she moved smoothly into the seat beside him, long legs tucked in between them, her eyes meeting his as he spoke, as he gave her the invite that she had longed for, wanted to lead her out, even for a walk. It wasn’t a big step between going for a walk and going for a walk to his place, it wouldn’t be too hard at all. ”A walk?” She seemed almost hesitant for a moment as he offered her a way out.
She made the look on her face plain, the internal debate as she outweighed the dangers against the benefits, against how much she wanted him. Should he choose to he could watch her decide that he didn’t seem like a bad guy, didn’t seem like the type to take advantage and she figured she’d be safe enough, he wasn’t going to try anything unwelcome. Biting her full lower lip for a moment she tried to hide her smile before nodding calmly. ”I’d love to, some fresh air would definitely be welcome with your company.” And as he held his hand out to her she slowly extended her own long fingered appendage and pressed it against his.
Her skin was warm, she knew she was warmer than any normal human, a fast metabolism needed to heal and be so strong meant that she was naturally warmer but here in this club it might not be so noticeable. Her hand was dry as bone, soft as velvet as she slipped it into his and slowly slid from her chair, touching the ground lightly, her long legs brushing against his as she slipped past him and moved toward the door, weaving through the crowd like a snake, barely touching anyone else.
It was something funny, humans often tended to stay out of her personal space unless she invited them in directly, she moved like a predator, everything about her other than perhaps her stature and manner were predatory, her lithe muscles and fluid motions cried out of her grace, hell anyone that could do a backflip from a standing start had to be called pretty graceful but there was something else. Like how chickens feel unsettled when there’s a fox outside their roost, humans unconsciously stepped out of her way, kept themselves from pushing her over.
Humans had always been prey, it was natural they’d act like it. She’d been little more than prey before she was bitten, now she was a predator turned and eventually Danticus would know it too, but not yet, too soon, not now.

Danticus felt Gia grab his hand and he smiled softly as he escorted her out of the club. He'd felt the fresh air take his nostrils as he stepped out of the club now he was free to talk and not act like a dick to her. He must have seemed weak and easy to her - Was she really this cuddly outside of a place like this, and the thoughts had crossed Dante's mind like bullets piercing his skin.. The night seemed to innocent and he was at odds with himself whether to stay or to leave her hanging.. He had already dug himself deep enough of a hole with her and she was attractive.
Danticus was arguing in his mind, telling himself to leave her.. not to get to interested but alas he copped out and began to ask her questions.
"So, uh Gia what do you do during the day exactly... asking questions is so harmless I'd figured I'd get to know you slightly better... I'll admit you seem like an interesting person and it fascinates me i hadn't asked any of these questions before... please do indulge me about yourself and I'll do the same y'know quid pro quo... Or if you're not familiar with Latin.. an eye for an eye?. " Dante didn't smile or chuckle the tension between them seemed to be too serious for him to crack wise at her.
Danticus was unsure whether this evening had been a success at all or whether he was being a pain to Gia, these were all new moments for him he'd never usually take a walk or get to know someone it was strange she was different then most of them women he chased.. And it was peculiar. There was almost a taint around her but he didn't pay attention to his gut instead he focused on her and her beautiful face... her hair... that outfit.. everything was moving too fast and Danticus stopped for a moment and allowed himself to think.. it may have seemed weird to her but he'd stopped dead in his tracks as he blocked out the world around him everything didn't matter he was thinking.. and venerable it was almost as if he had been spiked.
Danticus snapped back into reality eventually and looked Gia in the eye - "Sorry about that, i just lost sight of things and drifted into my thoughts something that doesn't happen very often... Forgive me please..." He breathed with a sigh in his voice almost as if he'd lost his voice it was just a gasp for air and he shrugged it off.. He continued walking unsure where they had even been going everything was just peaceful, and crisp the night was a warm one and it seemed to make everything else seem distant he was caught up in how beautiful the evening actually was and how beautiful his lady-friend had looked.
Having had his little moment earlier, he'd began blocking thoughts from his mind and emotions deep inside of him, what were these feelings and emotions it was all new and different to him and he fucking hated it with a passion. . "You look really attractive, and not in an i objectify woman sort of way.. You look like a fancy lady.. and I'd wish i knew how to court better than this.. " Dante sighed as he spoke he fucking hated emotions with a passion and they had began leaking into his personality.

Slipping through the crowd like a snake through the grass Gia wove after Danticus as he escorted her from the club and out into the cool air of the city, the scent of the night filling her lungs and clearing out the stench of sweat, sex and pheromones. Not that the city air was perfectly clean, her super heightened senses could smell urine, pollution and all kinds of filthy things but it was all interesting, she could still smell the trees in the distance too, the park cleared her head and made her feel a little cleaner.
She breathed in deeply, almost sniffing at the air before she remembered her company and simply turned it into a sign, turning on the spot to look at him for a moment, moonlight glittering in her eyes and a dance in her step. Honestly if she had been in different company she would have run right then, asked him to run with her and sprint up the street, kicked off the stupid heels and freerun as she loved to, disappear into the heights of the city and howl at the moon. The animal inside stirred and grumbled in it’s cage, rumbling it’s disrest as it longed to escape and run free.
She wasn’t in wolf company though, or even in free running company, she was wearing a tight outfit that really wouldn’t stretch if she tried to run, she couldn’t escape the stifling city and escape into the wilds to be herself. Hell, she didn’t generally hunt too many people, that seemed to cliché and messy in a city like this, she ran in the wild to hunt animals who proved the far bigger challenge in the forest, she simply hunted humans when she had to, when she was hungry, cold, clean and fast. It was getting to her though, that wild feeling, she tugged on Dante’s hand and danced down the street with a smile burning on her lips, glancing at him with her warm eyes as he spoke.
”Don’t laugh, I’m a nerd.” She giggled and lowered her heavy lashes before meeting his eyes. ”Tech support for businesses getting new networks up.” Of course that wasn’t her job but hell she knew enough about that to be able to actually talk about it if he asked, not that she thought he would, he would probably just give her an odd look. The fact was she spent her days doing research, watching the internet for rumour, she dug up whoever gave her a target and earned a small amount of money by her own hand doing a little spyware programming, some clever little programs had gotten out there, skimming tiny amounts of money from the masses.
”Oh, I know a little latin, et cum essem puer didici.” She chuckled softly to herself, ignoring his suddenly serious mood and looked him over. ”What do you do? I mean I was wondering if you were corporate but you don’t come off that way at all…” She shrugged her shoulders lightly.
When he stopped dead she pulled herself to a stop and looked at him, her eyes running over his form slowly. Was this going wrong now? Why would it go wrong now of all times, I mean it seemed to be working well enough. She could probably stop him running if she had to, she was stronger than a human but hell, she was small and really didn’t have the weight advantage on him, she’d have to knock him out and how would that look in the street, carrying the man over her shoulder. No, better idea was to play through it, get them back, get it all sorted. ”A thinking man is an attractive man, a somewhat rare quality these days, don’t apologise.” She stepped slightly closer to him and gently placed her hand on his arm.
”Thank you, I’ll take it as a compliment, though fancy might be a bit much.” She might have been in her youth, when she was married to such a wealthy man, her beautiful children had been perfect and she had attended every opera, all the festivals, she had danced.. no, don’t think about it. Her smile had turned melancholy as she thought of her youth, she had loved that time, she had loved her home, this city was wonderful but just not quite the same, the time had lost it’s romance. Although people did smell nicer, especially a good thing with her delicate nose.
”Come on, lets walk together, it’s been a long time since I’ve been courted.” A rueful smile flickered over her full lips.
